Re: Decent Recent TV
Starting IT Welcome to Derry tonight...
Not bad - obviously spent a bit of cash on it - look and feel identical to the two recent movies. Story's a little weak and there are some unnecessary, forced references (*) but I think overall, it'll be worth a watch.

You'd imagine Stanley Uris ...

Re: Randomness
Are plod not allowed to hit these vehicles ? There was a few opportunities where the chase car could have hit or pinned them to stop them ?
The commentary includes them asking if they could use tactical force - they also gave a running commentary of the risk level.
Ah right - watched it ...

Re: Selling Property
On the subject of pulling out of sales, I've always loved how my dad gave a bras d'honneur to a buyer who tried to gazunder him when selling my grandparents' old flat. The guy buying was a cash investor, but had been cocky, giving us the runaround with delays and drove a really hard bargain too ...

Not going to help here though - Mik keeps the deposit from his buyer but loses his deposit up the chain to the house he was buying.Mito Man wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 10:58 am We need non refundable deposits. It’s always the same story with indecisive cvnts.

Seems fair, all things considered.

That about sums it up Carlos.
I thought Ireland were pretty much outclassed overall

Re: 6 Nations
Yeah bias aside, I really didn’t think it was more than 50/50 contact. Arm’s weren’t moving for a tackle but they’re in a defensive position and I’m not sure there was head contact.

My Brother was at it - Seats right on the catch-fencing - said the noise was, at times, terrifying
I'm only slightly envious!
There was a shot of that chicane from the back, watching the cars land and almost peel the rear tyre off the rim! :o

Re: Oxford Congestion Charge
In the end, we took the Park and Ride (which was a faff in itself)
They're introducing Free Transfers into town from Oxford Parkway. They had big signs up and also, put a plastic cover over the "Parking and Bus" option on the ticket machines so we bought parking only and waited. The bus driver ...
