Re: New Arrival

Yeah I think it was a Mazda 626 where it first appeared so by no means new at all.

do you think you could get it confused if you drive at exactly 42 to 43 miles per hour and sawed at the wheel...

Edit - it was the Honda Pelude in 1987

I'm quite similar Zed - apart from the odd Lotto ticket when the euro millions gets high, and 1 bet on the Grand National, I've avoided gambling like the plague.

3 of my brothers are seriously into the horses and there's constant tips being shared in our WhatsApp group but I know if I'd get badly ...

It didn't get great press (IIRC) but I really like Branagh's Poirot films. Orient Express is the best, Death on the Nile is the worst of the three (but still watchable) with A Haunting in Venice as the 2nd best (although it's the other half's favourite)

Re: Drug driving

There was a string of cases in Ireland recently of people being stopped on Sunday and Monday mornings (fairly common trying to catch the "morning after - over the limit" drivers), refusing the breathalyser of having inconclusive breathalyser and being subjected to a blood test.

the blood test ...

Re: Junction lane arrows on road surface only.

My current Roadmaking pet hate - there's big new roundabout leaving Newport Pagnell. It's 3 lanes approaching the roundabout from the Newport Pagnell side with straight ahead, left and right, all 2 lanes.

So the lefthand lane is left - or straight ahead exiting into the slow lane
The middle lane is ...

Re: Southampton kickball team (ND)

It's a specific rule, rather than an agreement - you're not supposed to try to gain an unfair advantage using this sort of thing. Leeds were caught a few years ago and the rules are clear.

But given this guy was hiding behind a tree with multiple cameras, including one livestreaming back to home ...

Re: Southampton kickball team (ND)

I guess it's been judges as systemic as it comes after Leeds a few year ago (when the league went "Absolutely NO!") and the fact they did it multiple times shows it to be a wilful breaking of the rules.

The lad who was caught had a change of disguise stashed in a nearby sports club and he tried to ...
