Absolutely fascinating. On another level.

Another detail. They’ve got an atmospheric dyno so they can map engines to run at altitude.

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

No-one seems to be taking my Mondeo suggestion on board... Paging @tim and @Beany I mean, I literally suggested the newer version of a TitX (because I'm sure The Family Sales would perish at the thought of a 2008 car on the drive) earlier in the thread: Last of the line Mondeo Vignale? It's a motor...

Re: Desktop multimedia speakers

Budget? Up to £150 and happy to buy second hand too If you can find a set of those reference monitors on ebay they are really good. The later ones werent as good so you need to find one that says the below on the back. They usually sell very cheap. https://www.instagram.com/p/C5iWoE7ICTC/?utm_sourc...

My current office setup is retro!

Ive inherited an original set of Gale Reference Monitors from the 90's and still have my 1998 Yamaha receiver driving them.

Re: Desktop multimedia speakers

Would the KRK Rokit suit? They are possibly a little too big but they are loved by DJ's as a decent entry level monitor, there is also a matching sub if you want to extend them a little. I use some old Mordaunt-Short MS10 book shelfs, run off a Teac AV-H500 amp (I needed more inputs and wanted a de...

Re: Desktop multimedia speakers

I have these in the cinema room as rear surround speakers. They do a fantastic job however as main speakers. Ive run them on their own a few times in our kitchen. They would sound great in a small office and wouldn't need a sub. https://www.richersounds.com/q-acoustics-q3010i-graphite.html https://w...

That’s pretty much dead in the online gaming world now though. No subs no connection.

Re: Bright light, bright light!

WTF are they actually going to do other than spend a chunk of money they dont have on a drawn out survey process to conclude - yeah some lights are bright. My car has LED's - they are bright. Im going to do precisely nothing about that.

Check insurance quotes first. Comparing for the boy a polo was £800 more expensive to insure than a Toyota Aygo / Skoda citigo.

Re: Jerry can recommendations

You need to speak to @scotta or @Nefarious . Those who race on a budget do a lot of fuel storing and pouring. And if they are based in Scotland, spillage is - of course - minimal. You'll need a decent funnel. Advice from @Mito Man is spot on. they were ex military cans that we inherited from Barry ...

Re: FTAO EV owners - possible action required before end of March-24

I can't say I've ever tried it, but can you really re-tax your car when the existing tax hasn't run out ? I'd always rather assumed it needs to be SORNed or already expired or else "computer says no" because it doesn't need taxing. Yes - I followed the above process this morning. Mrs mik'...

Re: Paintless Dent Removal.

I’d like to learn it. Have had a few goes and managed to make various dents look less bad, but wouldn’t say have ever actually completely removed any. I think the most important thing would be to buy an illuminated line board so you can see exactly where the dent is and how the metal moves as you p...

Paintless Dent Removal.

Discovered a dent on the mini yesterday.

In the spirit of budget motoring Id quite like to learn how to do this myself.

Anyone done so? Bought a kit? Any recommended videos?
