Re: Your fleet running reports

Got Bimmercode/bimmerlink and a suitable OBD thingy so I can now annoy the neighbours and locals by fiddling with my flap. Also, I think I have told it to stop turning off AC recirc after a few minutes, it's supposed to automatically do it based on air quality, but I've never found that to be relia...

Re: Car Hire Lottery

E81 125i was a gem in that respect. Same as the R50 Mini One IIRC the rover 214i was the same. Pegged back to 75 bhp from the 105 in the ZR by a throttle body mod. 981 Boxster GTS in the same boat. Who's got one of those? The 75BHP was an 8V job IIRC, 94 and 103/105 engines were 16V. The ZR throttl...

Re: People (Office)

I'm wfh full time for all my clients. A few have tried to get smaller teams to go into the office on the same day each week, but its never really taken off apart from with 1/2 individuals for whom it really suits - i.e. they live close to the office or have a regular gym class nearby that day. Re: Car Hire Lottery

Merc are also the company that make you pay a large yearly subscription to have the full power motors (that are already installed and working at a lower output) - so a hobbled sound system doesn't sound particularly far fetched. Just like the E90 BMW 325i with the same 3.0 6-cyl engine as the 330i ...

Re: People (Office)

Similarly i went to our offices a couple of weeks ago. They are trying to start an initiative to go in on a Thursday. I did not enjoy it. I have a proper office setup in my house and i can get on with things well without interuption. I like playing music in the background also. Spent all day in the ...

Litchfield cracked the BMW code pretty quickly https://www.slashgear.com/942651/bmw-owners-are-stealing-their-heated-seats-back/ Does say it voids the warranty. Imagine having the gearbox or a turbo let go and the dealer comes back "ah sorry mate, that heated seat killed it" Then again, P...

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1

Will just be what PH defaults it to based on the reg. you would hope the 140 kit has something approaching 140hp (or PS) 😄 Hmm, looks a decent price. Am I ready for a full on mid life crisis yet? 🤔 With the PTP 140 kits its got Sport 135 cams from the TF and the bigger throttle body. Added to that ...

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1

Agggh fuck. Its a ridiculously good car. I wish i had the money.

In 3 years he has spent £0 on repairs. I drove it again on track last year and its still properly epic.

I might tell my dad its a good investment and persuade him to loan me some money..

Another vine classic. Instead of braking he cycles in front of the car and uses his horn for video effect instead of braking.

Car was late on the indicator but why cycle up the inside of an indicating car mid turn.

It's suspension problems a go-go this weekend  Today I had the Bentley up in the air to re-fit the engine undertray that I'd not put back on after doing the oil change a few weeks ago. That went OK but when I tried driving it later on I almost immediately got a red " STOP! VEHICLE TOO LO...

No mention of a clutch upgrade on that M2. The clutch was the weak link when i mapped my golf GTi. The manual clutch must be rated fine however or im sure litchfield would have an upgrade.

Re: Ford Transit review

These have the 2.0 engine with the wet belt. I wouldn’t touch a wet belt engined vehicle with a shitty barge pole. I thought that was probably the case. Fine for a hire vehicle though. Agreed or leased within warranty. Total Engine failure does tend to ruin the day a bit though. Especially when it ...
