Re: Car Hire Lottery
The overriding thing i'll take away from the experience however is the nannying. That’s pretty much anything modern really. My focus is a 2020 car and has such niceties as Auto lights- only auto in the dark so you look like a cunt if you forget in daylight rain My old 2012 Focus had a setting on th...

I can only advise not to buy a Neilsen Dent Remover Kit. It was utter rubbish.

Lovely looking (at least from the inside) Phaeton - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 433591851/
Edit - it's also in Shotton Colliery so a quick drive up the A19 to see it.

Re: Manual or Auto
Horses for courses. I wouldn't want a manual SUV, nor would I want a torque converter auto in a sports car (Jag F type I'm looking at you). That. Disco3/4 would have been 'orrible with manuel boxes. Conversely, the CVT on my mum's Honda Jazz is hateful, and I am extremely suspicious of auto on my &...

Re: EQB300 review
I was actually looking at one on our work scheme today. It was a 350 AMG Line so I think base spec as it doesn't look like there's any non-AMG(line, it's not a 4.0 V8 unfortunately) models. Is available for 440 a month fully covered so I'd be happy to go with that if my lease was due to end soon. So...

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
I've been looking into posting into this thread, but as I'm not an acid poster I just sort of left it. That is very sad news though, Mik. Hope you and your family are able to remember the very long good times you had with her. I had been wanting to post about our new addition, ironically a chocolate...

Re: The ebay thread
Only a few minutes away from me. I'll have a look if you're interested. I might be interested myself! The home charger has failed after having a new meter installed earlier this week and we've got to drive nearly 200 miles today then about 550 tomorrow. Thanks for the offer, I have too much stuff a...

Re: Does Anyone Live in Manchester ?
I'm at the Warehouse project in Manchester on Saturday for a Hacienda night. Anyone been there? I was last there a couple of years ago to see Pete Tong, Camelphat and Hot Since 82. Also went to the old one round the corner before it moved to Mayfield. It's a very big space inside compared to the la...

Re: Randomness
@Zonda_ Have just checked - it was Warden Law - which also seems to be known as Karting North East in Sunderland. Only around 5 minutes drive or about 20 minutes walk for me. I've only been on once, I think for my 12th birthday. My brother lost his shoe mid race and decided to stop and get out to c...

Thought Ollie was going to have a bit of a tear in his eye when he was doing the conclusion.
I doubt there'll ever be a better driver's car out there after watching that.

Re: How to grass up bad driving
I sent dashcam footage from Wednesday morning to Northumbria Police and they replied to me yesterday saying they were satisfied that the footage can be pursued through a fixed penalty process. There's lots of idiots out there but this was one was particularly dangerous in my view. Undertook me on a ...
Re: EV Thread
The configurator was absolutely rubbish on a mobile until I changed it to desktop mode on Chrome. I'd definitely look at changing our Kona for one when it goes back in Feb 25. I didn't feel that I needed to many options. Just the winter pack to add heated seats, which for an EV seems like it really ...

Re: Today’s want
They look like e30 vents to me, the door release handles, rear view mirror and interior light are all from an e36, but may have been used on others. The seats are from an e31. It wouldn’t matter if they all fitted properly and it was finished nicely ( although I’m sure Alfa made something suitable ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I like the idea of an i3 as a runabout but wifey is very attached to her MINI. Got linky to i3 ? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202310203195678 That's the one I went to look at, the passenger door has two big compressions in it, and the panels are pressed carbon or plastic so can't be repa...

In Croatia visiting the Plitvice national park. Hired a Citreon C4 or equivalent for the week. Was given a Skoda Superb estate with a 1.6 diesel so a good upgrade for the space available. Engine feels the weight of the car after being used to an electric car with nearly double the horsepower for the...

Re: Your fleet running reports
In contrast, the Macan has a similar sized screen but only allows Carplay to take up a window in it, about 2/3 of the whole screen. It's bizarre and there are third parties who will allow it to be full screen. My Kona done that with Android Auto until my software update was available to have full s...

When I used to work in HR I managed to find an old HR file from an archive which was named Germe, Fanny (first name).
