Re: Your fleet running reports

Sold our Focus today so now just down to one car between my wife and me. It's a September 11 1.6 Ecoboost petrol Titanium X with just over 90k miles. Bought for just over £9,000 in January 2016 with 21k miles and sold for £4,000 today so quite pleased losing only £5,000 in nearly 7 and a half years....

Re: Your fleet running reports

Same, on all counts. The big one down at Pease Pottage was brill. I think the last time I went was for a blower motor for a Cavalier, which dates the visit to about 2004. Despite living in Sunderland, I've even been to that one  Wife knocked our Focus wing mirror off and managed to get what I...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Had the Kona with the dealer for a day less than 4 weeks. It had originally gone in for a battery drain but they ended up finding it was the SOS module that was drawing the voltage, then something on the rear sensors module. They had also changed the 12V battery in the first instance then realised s...

Re: Who is living their best life?

I doubt anyone knows anything about me apart from the car I own, but I'm feeling a bit shit at the minute. I was feeling not 100% until around 11 days but fairly happy with my job, my wife and haven't two young kids under 7. Happy with the mates I have and the best I've experienced in terms of suppo...

Re: EV Thread

Ours is through that scheme (I work for the local authority) and some what you think would be expensive cars are good value. Especially taking it into account that everything other than out of the ordinary maintenance is included - servicing, insurance, tyres. EVs are obviously the best value due t...

Re: Your fleet running reports

However...I can track the car on the BMW app and its no moved from the same parking space in over a week. So from what i can tel they are doing fuck all with it. Our Kona has been at Hyundai since Thursday and I've tried the same but as it's not connecting to the location, that means the 12v batter...

Shame that the SL's MOT has run out. Hopefully someone can sort the rust. (this is a car forum isn't it?)

Re: Most powerful car you've driven

Fastest thing I've ever driven was a supercharged atom though - but that only had 300bhp. Atom for me as well, but non supercharged so around 245bhp with 462kg (dry weight), around 530bhp/tonne. The problem with adding a driver (and then instructor) is a good 40% is added to the weight even before ...

Re: Courtesy Car Lottery

I'm guessing that you're not too enamoured with it then? I have now reversed it off the drive onto the street, and then back onto the drive again. Step-off is a little jerky. More to follow... I have fiddled with the settings and things before I drive it later. Pressed the button for auto high-beam....

22-plate BMW 320i auto tourer M-sport in white. Should be here in a few minutes but thought I'd been given a 223i Active Tourer thing as the rental agreement has 2-series, but the online MOT history says it's a 320, with Euro Car Parts saying the same. Read the agreement again and it has tourer list...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Kona has had a battery drain resulting in it not starting four times in just over two weeks, including last night when I had to call AA to jump start it as the other car was blocked in and the wrong way to use the jump leads. Booked it into Hyundai but the earliest they could look at it is Monday co...

Re: Randomness

That's half true. You can drive up and down your own drive on the phone even if the postman or visitors occasionally walk up there. There's a world of difference (legally) between somewhere intended to be used by the public, such as a supermarket car park, and a private house or office with grounds...

Probably the right place to post this - speculating, is Hoovie getting divorced? And that reminds me, has Jonny Smith split from Chops? Little things in their recent output have made me wonder. Unfortunately that seems to be true. https://twitter.com/Carpervert/status/1633613840716910594?t=BSkkYUoe...
