Re: Singapore Summit

The world certainly seemed more inclined toward peace when Obama was in charge. Perception can be a helper I guess.

Re: New car photos

The block is made in Skovde in Sweden so it looks like it as at least heavily revised with a few tricked bits. "upgrades include integrating new double-water jacket cooling to offset the additional heat generated and redesigning the head with high-strength aluminum to improve heat management. E...

Re: Matt Le Blanc to leave TG.

Yes, just that shit unpopular show that paid him $1m per episode. Sorry - it's no driving a Skoda taxi in Scotland, I know. My taxiing ended a few years back :). I like his presenting on TG, I just thought the description of him was a bit OTT. How do you think he would describe you? No seriously, a...

That was a nicer story! The chap with the knife was pretty scary though.

Re: Matt Le Blanc to leave TG.

I did not intentionally criticise MLB though, just queried the gushing and over effusive description given.

If that is indeed a forum rule why am I being singled out for my comment when the thread is full of people criticising TV presenters and radio DJs?

Re: SecretSupercarOwner (not dead)

£6710 for a bottle and a straw with a button? Wow. I thought £400 odd for some black plastic on a SEAT was daft.

Was the stripe on a scuderia not silly as well, price wise at least?

It is half an AM engine remember!

I saw a 996 with what looked like the upturned spoiler from a 2.7 RS. Whether it was a Singer type thing I don't know as we were past it and I was driving so could not take a photo.

Clicking and Ford suggest starter motor, I would imagine the click is the solenoid. Shouldn't be humped on a three year old fusty though?

Re: No F1 thread?

Same as it ever was. Monaco has most often been won by the driver at the front doing the slowest pace he can. Last time I can remember someone properly streaking away was Senna who then skelped the wall at the tunnel I think. As a spectacle it is probably quite the thing but as a TV viewer it is not...

Re: The Movie Thread

I keep seeing Obi-Wan being touted as the next film. The trailer I have seen which if fake is very good, was basically Obi-Wan looking pensive or possibly mildly constipated while looking into the middle distance. I would like to see The Republic Commando books turned into a TV series or something s...

A 60s Dodge Challenger and a beautiful Dutch registered Giulia. Spoke to the owners who were over for some sort of tour. Had roll cage and headphones in the back and sounded really really nice!

JL - I agree, it is a rare Monaco GP that provides much in the way of racing or entertainment. It was great to see Ricciardo win though.

Re: The Movie Thread

Yup, I was not sure which way it would go, so much whinge from the fans of the EU, which I enjoy, but as an enjoyable film with a few familiar characters it was a grand way to spend two hours. We accidentally went for the 3D screening, I think the last thing I saw with 3D in the total was Jaws. Thin...
