Yes he’s very fond of it already and still surprised at how efficient it is. Drinks less than the 120d and 320d courtesy cars he’s had despite its size.

Put some time into this today, stuck a pre paid 12 month SIM card in and this lets the car connect online so you get satellite imagery in maps, speed cameras, traffic, iPhone remote connectivity and opens up a whole new section in the infotainment with a web browser and flight tracker. I remember Facom sometimes having a stand at goodwood, seemed like a professional choice. I only remember because I wanted a torque wrench but Wera and Facom stands there were about 30% more than the same tool bought online - I thought the point of trade shows was that they’re cheaper
Re: Jack envy
Same, I can’t tell if Arcan is a shit brand of if it’s a case of they all wear out eventually. Went to Costco last week to buy the Hilka Jack but they didn’t have it in store. They did have a low Arcan Jack for £135 so… https://i.postimg.cc/gmhTWS94/IMG-0555.jpg?dl=1 Only thing is that it’s a steel ...

Get outside and look to the right of the moon, you can see the Northern lights, it's really dim by eye but take a bit of a long exposure pic and it looks fucking amazing

Just had a look and wanted to see what their cheapest car is https://www.thevoguecentre.co.uk/used-cars/land-rover-range-rover-3-0-td6-vogue-auto-4wd-5dr-oldham-202208249087817 “ with cars that are over 15 years old and/or over 140,000 miles we unable to offer any returns, warranty or guarantee” Hmm...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Bloody Elon is a cowboy. The Model 3 brakes always felt a bit shit, but upon changing the front pads I stumbled across why this car may have even worse brakes than average. To give some background the brakes on this car never wore evenly, and during one recall when this was mentioned the service cen...

Re: Dogecoin etc
That's where the term gold standard comes from. Yes, I wasn’t aware that America was in it for as long as 1971 as the UK left it far earlier - just one of those things I thought ended with the depression. However I presume that international gold prices still remained at the level that America set....

Re: Dogecoin etc
I know this is going back a long time ago but found it quite mind blowing when I first read it. Gold was pegged to the US dollar until 1971 at roughly $35 per ounce. Madness! Putting whatever savings you had on gold must have been the safest investment and I wonder how many retired very wealthy from...

That still wouldn’t have worked though as you can’t just extend the time. Correct procedure is to duct tape a block of wood of the thickness of a disc and 2 pads, which is again one of those things you pick up with experience.

Pretty irrelevant as I’m an amateur. If I had the right tools for the job, as a professional would - a hub removal tool, I’d have had it off in minutes and none of the following events would have happened.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Looks a piece of piss online for the ZF8. Ok it's a bit inconvenient as there's no drain bolt so you have to undo the whole sump and you need a scan tool to read the oil temp to correctly measure the level which seems to range from £60-130. Now do all that - and removing any required undertrays etc...

There’s always been 3 types for non OEM. Basic paper filter which is usually less than £10. Anti microbial filter which is a bit more, then you have activated charcoal.
There’s also the recirculation filter which seems to be made of corrugated plastic.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Cyclist will be at fault regardless. My mum did the same thing to a cyclist a few years ago but much worse. She didn't look whilst crossing the road at the bottom of a hill and the cyclist crashed into her at quite some speed. She got a few cracked ribs and the cyclist went head first into a curb an...
