Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
Yeah that could approach £1 million a year in upkeep. You’d need a small army of people just to maintain everything and a manager to manage them.
There’s a reason all of these large estates eventually turn into business ventures with a few rooms left to live in.

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
House and location look lovely, but can’t say that about the pool structure I’m afraid - it’s just an agricultural RSJ workshop with conservatory style windows. Maybe turn that into the garage and move the pool to the tennis court area. I do need to visit Dublin some day though. Everyone I know here...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
$200m seems cheap for that, feels like it’ll cost over a billion here.
Re: EV Thread
Fisker Extremes being discounted to $37,500 across the pond. If they sell them for a little over £30,000 here that's still worth it

Re: Jerry can recommendations
Well it's not exactly a licence, you usually let the local authority fire brigade know about it and that's that. Can't remember what they call it. If you want to store hundreds of litres+ then you pay a one off amount which isn't much to get a licence but the main cost is that once you get into thos...

Re: Jerry can recommendations
You can buy a spout for metal Jerry cans so you won’t have to call the environment agency each time you fill your mower. Halfords sell 20l Jerry cans and they’re fine despite being quite tinny. If you have a military show/event locally that’s where to find the best ex mod/nato jerry cans. They last ...

Re: Toyota GR Yaris
I hope the GR Yaris fuel tank size gives a solid 300+ miles of range - would be embarrassing to have to stop before the EV6 too 😄 the fast EV6 only has a max range of 220 miles (and I doubt that's going to happen whilst using any of the performance). Even my car with its small tank could beat that ...

Re: Jobbo interior
Hadn't come across Praters before, they certainly have an extremely broad selection of cars for sale. From very high end to absolute sheds and everything in between. Also I can't tell if I hate this or love this. https://www.praters.co.uk/used-freightliner-sport-back-leighton-buzzard-bedfordshire-54...

Re: Jobbo interior
It's clearly not an X6M, it has the standard speedo, standard wheel with no M button, standard gear selector with non of the M specific setup stuff surrounding it.
Someone buy it and return it a few weeks later saying it's been mis-sold?

Re: EV Thread
Yeah, it's odd given that the CMF-EV platform can have a hefty motor in the back for the AWD ones but single motor has to be at the front. Also: Looks like my mum is cancelling the Fisker order, the car has an overly sensitive driver assistance program which was promised to be fixed in the major 2....
Re: EV Thread
Something which surprised me, the new Renault Scenic SUV (wait wasn’t the Scenic a shitty people carrier?) now looks like a VW Golf - weighs only 1917kg with a 87kwh battery - which I reckon makes it the lightest car with such a high capacity battery. However. Why the fuck would you still make it FW...

Re: Home CCTV
Yeah… Having real time cameras has been a game changer for us. Being in a rural area we always had problems with people trespassing, theft, fly tipping, cutting fences which then led to animals escaping, people on quad bikes would tie a rope to a fence post, pull it out with quad bike then go for a ...

Re: Home CCTV
Reolink do 4G cameras for off grid applications. Fine if you want just 1.
We ended up with a 350w solar panel, 12v battery, inverter, 4g router which goes off to 4 more outdoor routers and 40 ring cameras.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Apparently the Eletre rear wing provides 112kg of downforce although it didn’t say at what speed. Now what I want to know is that on a car which is near enough 3 tonnes once occupants are in it how much additional difference will the 112kg downforce make  Maybe they should start fitting aircraf...

The official highlights on the F1 app are good enough tbh. Also they use their own commentary team so you don't need to listen to that twat having an orgasm every 20 seconds over nothing.

Re: No F1 thread?
I don’t think the core chassis is ever upgraded during a season? That would then invoke a raft of new crash tests with the FIA and every part would have to be adapted to fit? As for today’s race, only watched the 8 minute highlights, seemed like after Max retired the rest just finished in mostly the...
