Re: Car Hire Lottery
The overriding thing i'll take away from the experience however is the nannying. That’s pretty much anything modern really. My focus is a 2020 car and has such niceties as an over enthusiastic collision warning system- big red display that beeps and eventually brakes for you. Shits itself if you’re...

Re: Amazon and Proximity
The cheekiest example of geo targeted advertising is you have location always on for an app like uber. They track your location 24/7 and sell your data to retailers, they check that location data to see if you spent any time in a store and if you have they’ll start targeting you for marketing. Ther...

Re: Amazon and Proximity
They're definitely listening, but presumably this was a fluke? I remember talking to my missus about selling our old prams, push chairs and stuff ages ago - we decided it would end up being hassle because they needed properly cleaning and stuff., I then looked at my phone for something else and had ...

I drive past a transit with "black edition" on the side today. Made me smile!

The colour is ok, though it does make the random XJ black c pillars stand out even more.

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers
I had a project in Middlesborough. The cheapest and quickest route used to be flying from Heathrow to Teeside (there used to be a flight out in the morning, then one back in the afternoon). Annoyingly they cancelled the service shortly after we started on site. It's a FUCKING long drive as we found ...

Re: The Movie Thread
I haven't seen the original for a long time, but i remember it being a lot more centred around actual fist fights in a RoadHouse (as in a rough bar by the side of a highway) rather than crashing speedboats into a straw roof beach bar?

that was 320 bucks well spent - the ones with chrome look so much older imo.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:15 amJobbo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 8:36 amProbably a very expensive optionSundayjumper wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:15 pm Nah, mine has the black trim, it’s either anodised or coated, not sure, but it’s certainly not an “edition”.

Re: Parking space widths
No one cares about width including mirrors! A Citroen C4 (first random shitbox I clicked on) is 2050mm with mirrors!

Re: And then there was none..
Colleague/mate hired a T350 for his 25th. It was very good value, but the mandatory insurance excess of £3.5k (circa 20yrs ago) proved a great deterrent to push it too hard. blimey, I was about to post the same thing. My best mate hired a T350 for his 27th and came round to mine (and informed me I ...

Re: The Movie Thread
I can handle anything except for storylines that don't make sense. I get that good actors, good production and special effects all cost money, but storylines don't cost anything to get right! Theres just no way excuse!

Re: Parking space widths
I think by now most of them have either failed and been scrapped, failed and been fixed, or never were going to and never are going to fail. They're 15-20 year old cars now, etc. times marching on Beany - M3s could be 18-24 years old - and cooking e46s could be almost 27 years old! There were plent...

Re: The Movie Thread
Road House (New one) It was alright, Jake Gylenhall was good. It was close enough to the original to be recognisable without being slavish. Connor McGregor was ridiculous but I’d watch him in more trashy action films tbh. it was awful! JG was pretty good, but if you took away him you'd be left with...

Re: Parking space widths
Having owned the two cars in question for 5 and 4 years each, I'm inclined to value my opinion over someone who hasn't. (I'm only talking about the respective M3s, I don't care about the lesser models). The e46 is a fantastic car, if mine hadn't been driven into, chances are I'd still have it and l...
