Re: Your fleet running reports

On the bright side, but perhaps moot right now given the above cashflow issue, I had a look at a very cheap Range Rover this afternoon. Probably not going to buy it as it doesn't have a tow bar and I think it'll be worth holding out and paying slightly more for one with the factory fit electric job...

Talking about Collecting Cars, why would you buy a Turbo S and then make it look like a GT3 RS? https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2014-porsche-911-991-turbo-s-6 https://images.collectingcars.com/029852/Main3.jpg?w=1263&fit=fillmax&crop=edges&auto=format,compress&cs=srgb&q=85 7...

Re: People (Office)

To be fair, I've spent the last 2 hours sat in a pub in the sun for lunch with my office workers - we're pretty good at the social stuff - there's about 16 of us all paid for.

The whole "culture" thing actually means something in some places!

Re: People (Office)

Do you reckon the boredom is down to the specific job you do - not suited etc. ? IT s perfectly suited to remote working so I don't have that issue. yeah, our projects are pretty short and fast paced, they work way better when everyone is in the same room asking questions, offering ideas and checki...

Re: People (Office)

I prefer working from the office - but I like everyone I work with - we're a fairly small office (<30) and I've had the benefit of being involved in the hiring of everyone, so we wouldn't hire anyone we didn't like. I do around 1 day a week at home but I find it boring.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I've yet to find a layout that's confusing so I'd be interested to see what that looks like. By Forbury sq, basically there were cyclists coming from the right but wanting to end up at the bottom of the picture, but no idea if the guy walking has right of way or not, then the cyclists coming from t...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I was walking to a site in Reading today - they had a weird jumble of slightly dropped cycle paths crossing the pavements - I didn't have a clue which way to look or where I was supposed to be walking/not walking.

Trying to jam cycle paths into old towns as an afterthought is dumb imo.

Re: In a galaxy, far, far away... (Wick, early 80s)

I recognise an awful lot of those from my childhood - mine were handmedowns, I was too young/not born for the first round. I still have a few kicking about that I gave to my little boy - a '77 Chewie, an '83 Gamorrean guard and a '80 Luke. All are in ok condition but they're far too common to be wor...

Re: Your fleet running reports

...it seems like a waste of time. Unless a small and hugely boosted VAG engine proves more reliable than the original Porsche unit. I'll revise it to "unless you've got a highly tuned 1.8T or a boxster with a knackered engine lying about, it seems like a waste of time". If you're buying a...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Yeah I know Rich. I would not envy anyone driving regularly in a city these days id like to think those rules apply where ever you drive! It's just a single line of traffic on a nice wide road. Incidentally, I've spent HOURS standing about 50 yards from this exact spot - the Hampton court kids play...

Re: Your fleet running reports

You f course it is, it’s a fun project and I was all for doing a cheap 996 till prices went up 50% and the same poorly looked after cars were for sale. It’s a 300pkus hp Boxster with turbo whoosh noises. If anything I’d want some lag and a bit of drama. I wouldn’t be for it if he wasn’t the person ...
