Re: Car insurance

^ :? but good you got the price 8-) I thought I'd got a good quote until I read things through fully - no foreign cover. Ffs  It looks like I'll end up renewing with the company I'm with at 15% over last year, dangerously close to the amount Rich is paying for his M2  I still don'...

Re: Your fleet running reports

It will be GT3 fast and unlike the 996 market, which is 15k for some pretty ropey cars then the Boxsters are still affordable. It’s a very cheap way to a genuine 300hp per ton with a little work and I want to tinker. 10K would have a pretty nice one built I think. Will have to see what the kits com...

Re: Your fleet running reports

what Audi engine? 1.8T from his TT I guess. Obvious list of transplant candidates, particularly the Rapide. Yep the TT, there is a thread n Pistonheads where a guy may be building a kit. Broken engines Boxsters are pretty common and a nicely built 1.8T is only 3.5K. Should be a lot of fun with at l...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Excellent choice of fun car. While I’m still waiting for sensible respray prices to happen (very unlikely 😂) I fancy either an E46 M3, evo 5/6, Porsche Boxster to put the Audi engine in or Aston Martin Rapide. RS6 removed from the list due to pain in the arse parts. The list of forum cars people ha...

I expect the cop got out and put a couple of shots in to make sure he'd finished the job!

Re: Your fleet running reports

My E46 M3 was Imola Red inside and out 8-) If i recall correctly you or your brother had an Imola Red 330 or possibly a touring at one point? yep, my e46 was black outside and red inside, his was red outside and black inside. Imola was a lovely BMW colour. https://i.ibb.co/VJ1sLKQ/IMG-1788.jpg

Re: Randomness

I’m not sure the cop intended there to be a collision. As I understand it, the guy was riding an off-road vehicle on public road; and from the vid it looks like he’s not doing so at a sensible speed. I can’t tell if it’s within the speed limit. Maybe if it was a road vehicle it would have been able...

Re: Randomness

Terrible decision. You can't just drive into the path of someone, intentionally causing a serious collision, based on the excuse that you were worried they might end up in a serious collision later.

I hope that police officer is never allowed to drive a car again tbh.

Re: Your fleet running reports

spec? 👍🏻 (I've now warmed to them!) Poverty in Toronto Red with Black Vernasca interior with M accents. Only option I would have liked was a heated steering wheel but you have to buy the comfort pack at £750 which means you get comfort access which I specifically don't want. https://i.ibb.co/hytMx2...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've seen a few people go back - a mate at work has gone from a Polestar back to a diesel Jag F Pace. The polestar was just too much hassle on long journeys and wasn't working out any cheaper. He's considering an EV for his mrs though, who does mainly short journeys.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I'm also back on the 2v1 car debate now I'm back down to about 6k/year. I like the idea of just having one nice, do-it-all car (like a Giulia QF) but then...it seems pointless to have something decent to commute when I spend most of my time sitting in M6 traffic. I've been bleating about buying som...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I wonder how the responsibility will come out - driving along the wrong side of the road surely heightens the responsibility on the driver, especially with all these new hierarchy rules.

Bloody stupid running into a road without looking both ways though.

Weird. Daytona front, who knows what inspired back and a silly name. New Ferraris don't really appeal much to me any more.

The tone of the whole piece is pretty odd, but I guess they're severely restricted on what info they can include at this stage.

I don't get why telling us the dead burglar played on a football team is relevant though.
