Re: Your fleet running reports

i changed the battery on the elise earlier, it wasn’t too bad a job (made easier by the battery having a handle to lift it out). the only issue is the rev counter still isn’t reading right - it’s basically sitting all the way round past the end of the dial. i tried some resets i found on line with t...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

i was behind a BYD van today, presumably electric like the rest of their car range (confirmed by green number plate). Except it had one strange detail. https://i.ibb.co/XZTtCcMX/IMG-2397.jpg why has as electric van got a cut out in the rear bumper for an exhaust?! i’m presuming it is an all new plat...

I’m in the MX5 camp - much nicer proportions around the nose imo. They look especially good in that lovely grey colour! :D

Re: Your fleet running reports

MX5 has been aligned by Dan. The main dealer didn't do anything to check the alignment when they fitted the lowering springs and it certainly needed checking, judging by the text message I got from Dan saying 'Front toe-in is 9mm, should be no more than 1mm'. That does explain the uncertain turn-in...

As i thought, my 1 and only financed car (M2 with blackhorse) was after the deadline. I’m now forum approved “large CASH deposit” only.

Re: 992.2 Carrera S

Car costs have crept up a fair amount in the last 10 years or so. Credit/leases/PCP/etc has meant the actual RPP isn’t particularly relevant to the deal, so the makers just inflate it to make the deal look even better. “I’m paying £1k a month for a 3 series, but it’s an £80k car so that’s a bargain!...

ha! i’ve ordered one - i quite enjoy a job like that though, you get a chance to learn about another section of the car and how it goes together. i wish there (is there?) was a Haynes manual for the car, i seem to spend a lot of time googling how to do stuff. https://elise.bidouille.info/docs/Lotus...
