Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
Big estate with comfort mode suspension and 4 litre burbling away massively unstressed delivering 20+mpg. Then when the opportunity arises - BOOM - monster performance! 750bhp and 20mpg ? Really ? And I didn't just mean the fuel costs, every time I read about Audi RS models there's stories of hugel...

Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
...2015 RS6 with akropovic exhaust and 750bhp... To use as a daily ? I'd expect the running costs to be pretty horrendous and it's not like you can ever use that much power on the road. It sounds like a perfect daily driver to me. Big estate with comfort mode suspension and 4 litre burbling away ma...

Re: The Watches Thread
Did Beany take those photos? 😉 Some people are so ungrateful ;) I had to hire in a model at a huge outlay, then alter the time so they were all wrong, charge my phone to take a few random snaps and then upload them for your delectation  maybe next time pay the extra to get a grown up model wit...

The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
Now I’m a BMW man, through and through, so my natural assumption would be that eventually an F10 M5 would replace the M3. But then a guy at work who had a 2011 S5 just turned up in his new 2015 RS6 with akropovic exhaust and 750bhp... So much want. Reading reviews just adds to this - 0-100mph under ...

Re: The Watches Thread
I’m not fussed about expensive watches (not saying anyone else is wrong for liking them), I don’t really get the point of a watch that costs thousands and have no interest in what movement they have. I quite like russian and military style watches and I currently have Vostok Europe Anchar (that I l...

Re: What new old car - Audi A2 v. Mk1 Renault Twingo
Wasn’t the A2 one of the first cars without a proper opening bonnet to try and discourage home mechanic’ing?

This is taking “mundane” to a whole new level, sounds more like sadomasochism.
If you need a cheap station/run about car, get something like a smart, then at least you get some benefit from driving a shitbox in at least you can park in tiny spaces.

Re: Footpump recommendation?
I have the Michelin one. Looks good and has a big brand name but it’s a bit shit. I had a nail in my tyre for about 4 months before getting it repaired so used it a fair amount!

Re: Avengers: Infinity War SPOILER THREAD!
Reversing character deaths... that is exactly the sort of crap that totally puts me off these Ill thought through films. If you’re going to make an over-arching story, make it consistent. Same as how the first film will always have the “worst enemy evarrrr”, then a sequel is made and there’s some ot...
