Re: Woman

I felt the same about the smoky outhouse. The next morning I always wondered if the food had been smoked or me. Did it not have a chimney or something? 😄

That’s really good economy - not what I’d expect at all. Well done on your hypermiling 😄

Re: Where would you live?

Cotswolds is bloody expensive for a house with tennis court etc. I think there are plenty of locations where you get more for your money and don’t feel like you’re compromising your house for location. I’d say look down the M4 corridor and try places like Lambourn, Marlborough etc and villages aroun...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Ha ha Matt 😄 I’m not sure I’m going to buy an Emira quite yet. The way the prices are visibly sliding and cars are sitting unsold means I am not comfortable committing that much money to something I won’t use all that often. I am still itchy about an MX5 and am pondering whether I could justify runn...

Proactive fix being to make it rwd only?

Re: Coffee beans

I'm not a coffee person really but I had a Colombian Farmer at Francini Cafe de Colombia in Worcester recently, and it was so good I had it black. So if I were buying beans, I'd definitely give theirs a try: https://francinicafedecolombia.co.uk/producto/quimbaya-espresso-coffee-beans/ Not trying to ...

Merc are also the company that make you pay a large yearly subscription to have the full power motors (that are already installed and working at a lower output) - so a hobbled sound system doesn't sound particularly far fetched. Just like the E90 BMW 325i with the same 3.0 6-cyl engine as the 330i ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've mentioned a few times on here about my Audi coasting with the engine off for up to 40 seconds at a time. It seems to be very good for economy. Anyway, I've spotted it a few times recently on non-motorways and that made me appreciate how refined it is - I genuinely didn't notice when rolling whe...

Re: Harry’s Garage

You need something that reminds you of your E92, not E46 ;)

It does look good like that, I agree. It no longer looks like a compact thing like the old M2 though; yours is still a better looking car.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Motorhome finally sold last week. It was a spur of the moment purchase early 2022 after 7 years of touring caravans and although great fun we never used it enough to justify having nearly £50k sat in it. Not sure if it is luck or they are always financially good news but it only depreciated £2k ove...

Re: Mesh wifi

I've been pretty happy with the Orbis so far. The Sky man who came was quite a network geek and seemed pretty impressed that someone had bought them; they are way too pricey unless you get a big discount (on old stock from Costco, as it turns out - I contacted Netgear to register the warranty and th...

Re: Homeplugs (mostly for Beanz I suspect)

I found the TP-Link 1200mbps homeplugs I had bought about 7 years ago when we moved. I kept them out wondering if they might be useful. Turns out they may be; I have a few things (laptop dock, Synology server) which don't do wifi and there's no mesh node next to my desk. I had a play last night and ...

The size isn't the problem as far as I can tell - Imgur has a limit of 10,000 pixels along either side. But there is a cap of 20MB.

Re: Coronavirus

Funny, if that was an important or new story you'd expect it to appear in other newspapers not just the Telegraph. Yet it's actually reporting the same thing as this article from the BMJ in February which does not give the impression that AZ are likely to be found at fault: https://www.bmj.com/conte...

Re: Harry’s Garage

Black paint and silver wheels does wonders for the looks. I am sure it's interesting to drive, but I really can't see that it'd be much fun to live with in that state of tune. A standard M2 in black with silver alloys would be plenty.

I thought that was probably the case. Fine for a hire vehicle though.
