Re: For the FAO of stereoists
I’ve found them for £649 elsewhere already. But I think they’re going to be discounted to £500 or so; they haven’t been around for long yet. I’ll keep a look out. Fundamentally hifi to me is now a bit of a dying area because people like Apple chucking out HomePods with lots of power and amazing soun...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Generative AI via Google but putting in "Enyaq ID4 suspension" spat out this: The Skoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID.4 are similar mechanically, but have different styles and appearances. The Enyaq's suspension is generally considered to be less stiff than the ID.4's Maybe there is something t...

Re: For the FAO of stereoists
I’m waiting to see a decent discount on a Marantz Stereo 70s. I don’t much like the design but it is a stereo amp with some AV bits like multiple HDMI inputs, so it’ll use your TV or whatever as a source. For playing YouTube music videos through your proper hifi it’s a great idea; no need to go full...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve not driven a Taycan. Need to give one a go - I’ve certainly never seen that as a criticism and in fact the ride is usually described as excellent. The Enyaq I was a rear seat passenger in, round country lanes and then round town, so I’m surprised it didn’t feel like you describe the ID4/5. It’s...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Yep does seem soon. I wonder if electric cars are going to be prone to doing that given the extra weight - its essentially 300 kilos heavier in kerb weight than a Clio and I expect similar suspension components. I got a taxi home in a BMW i5 last night (my first time in one) and, whilst it was bett...

£173.41 in the Amazon Prime deals for the Evohome controller & BDR91. Spotted that. In the bundle I got it worked out at £150ish but Amazon have reduced the price of the basic Evohome TRVs without a display to £30. So I’m trying to work out how many I want. All the bedroom radiators I’ll keep a...

I love the pithy comments like yours Chris. Saying so much, beautifully concisely. It needs no more explanationspeedingfine wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 9:26 am Dammit, you all got here first on Harris's Draylon interior. I admire the commitment, but not the fact that it's shit.

The water was lovely and blue a few minutes before. I took those photos and we headed swiftly back to the car. Then it rained like fuck.

I first saw it from the stern as I came into Dartmouth. Walked round and got back to the harbour side - to see what still appeared to be a stern at the other end. A very odd bow shape indeed.

Fao MarineTraffic fans. Spotted a big old yacht in Dartmouth today; it’s a 59m super yacht named Akula, flag is Cayman Islands and it launched in 2024. Not a looker, IMO:

Looking at the comments on the Instagram post, Chris Harris’s arsehole must be spotlessly clean from all the bum-licking.

Re: Your fleet running reports
If I ever got another Disco4, I'd find it hard to resist fitting a set of the 20" Landmark wheels. They suit it so well. I really dislike those wheels on them. The style looks slender rather than chunky and the shape needs chunky. And the diamond cut finish is so contrary to the rufty-tufty im...

The P1 is 10 years old or so - owners probably want to replace theirs with something up to date with CarPlay.

I’m on holiday and have left my laptop at home *Jelousy intensifies* :D It was by accident but I’m finding I can access pretty much anything I need to via my iPad. Damn! Gav, that has allowed me to check that there are no pending applications against the title. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t been sold but ...

Re: Jobbo interior
Harris can fucking have it. That is awful. I like non-leather and I like interesting. But it clashes badly with the exterior colour and just looks really horribly textured.
