Ah, I thought he was referring to the potential Cayenne purchase he could have bought when he instead made the decision to stick with the RR, but obvs now you say it

Re: Cycling Thread
I think G's plan to win is to consolidate 2nd and hope Pog crashes, gets injured or simply over does it which he has done in occasion lol I suspect that's the only strategy he has available at this point, but it's a risky one. If you're in 2nd on the Tour you'll keep finding yourself challenged by ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Annoyingly the GTS also looks like it has dropped £10k in a year but I guess by the time you take two years warranty into account from a main dealer that is really more like £7k. Is that a Cayenne? We've swapped our order to a GTS now that's been released. I wasn't going to initially but the base S...

Re: Jobbo interior
Lovely exterior, Chris - but it’s a bit superman with that interior. Like David Yu’s M135i.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I think car guys have a responsibility to have "a road" that they know for "special testing" situations.i have a great little nsl connecting road with fields either side and no turnings only half a mile from my house . It's two straights where you can get to illegal speeds and b...

Re: Jobbo interior
If the interior actually looks like that it is brilliant. If it looks like BMW cognac leather and the photo processing is what makes it so vibrant, not so much.

Re: Today’s want
While I laughed at the way the bodywork will puncture the tyres on the first one, at first glance that photo looks like a pisstake not the real thing.

Someone is bound to have the forum composite hangover cure somewhere
Reyka Icelandic vodka is similarly pure and good; I always assumed Polish stuff would be more scary.

Re: Rum Fred
I clicked on this thread intending to post my go-to and Gavster has it first on his list - I do like the Havana Club Especial and always go back to it. Annoyingly the supermarket didn’t have any last week so I bought a 7yr aged Havana Club and it’s fine but not as nice. In fact, I’ve found that aged...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Plus longevity. I'm sure that getting (relatively) huge power & low emissions from a small engine must mean it's quite highly stressed and unlikely to live much past its warranty period. That was Mazda’s ethos when they made the 3.3l straight 6 diesel they launched a year or two ago in the CX60...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Is she doing 10,000 miles every 3 months   Erm, I think so. Moving house to be a bit closer to work seems to have been counterproductive across the fleet as a whole 😂 I found the FakeTaxi stickers Jimmy bought me - I could probably justify putting just the Taxi part in the window becaus...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I posted that on 9 Feb. Just booked its second oil change in June. Crikey! Moving house may have cut the mileage I'm doing down a bit but it's increased the Macan's. And that won't do 50mpg; I am not sure it's ever done 30mpg in her hands.

Re: Flightradar24 fans
Something incredibly loud flew over the house yesterday that didn't show up on Flightradar. It was above the clouds so no visual but the only things I've heard that compare were a B-52 or a B-1B. I was down there yesterday and heard something - mid-afternoon ish, perhaps between 3.00 and 4.00pm? Lo...

That's perfect - Morgan could probably get a wooden cover to replace the leather so it looks a bit more tailored to the car.

Re: Today’s want
Is the steering wheel nabbed from something else too ? My first thought was Mustang but it's not the same. It must be unusual these days in not having buttons on the spokes. The gear selector is far too generic. Surely that part can be altered? There are so many other controllers for the ZF 8-sp bo...

Re: The House Projects Thread
Every day's a school day.... "Sorry, we can't offer home insurance as your home was originally built in 1800." "Why?" "Don't know". "What year can you insure houses from?" "1801"..... We had exactly the same problem. Three suggestions: - Speak to Ho...
Re: Dangerous beers...
To bring a counter-cultural edge to this thread and talk about the most non-dangerous beers, I've spent the last few months trying all the low/no alcohol beers I can find in the main supermarkets and there's been one very, very clear winner, Athletic Brewing Run Wild IPA. It's the first zero alcoho...
