Re: Test drive report

Perhaps the metallic red. Have a look at both the reds in the metal if you get the chance! :) In the GRP? I'm pretty sure it's only Magma Red which was used on the 2023 cars which I'd be choosing from - looks nice in photos but I haven't seen it in the flesh. Is it a bit more marmite than I w...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

Forgot to mention - I saw a red S3 Esprit (non-Turbo as far as I could tell in my mirrors) driving round the Stourbridge ring road on Wednesday evening. Nice to see it being driven.

Re: Test drive report

Apparently the V6 auto isn’t bad at all, Ian. At first I considered it - I completely missed the fact that there was a clutch pedal as I first started it 😂 Getting lazy, clearly. But I found if you leave it in 4th you can treat it pretty much like an auto except as you come to a stop and the gear ch...

Re: Test drive report

Pleased Lotus are still the enthusiasts choice if you want something really special. Shame that still means they don't sell quite like they should  Any other colours you'd consider Jobbo? There were not many colour choices initially - I’d go for the dark grey but I’m not so keen on the ver...

IanF wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 6:22 pm @Jobbo are you going to try the Emira i4? Think it would be an interesting comparison
No, really not interested in that version. It feels like the basis for a future hybrid version while the V6 makes a nice noise and has a lovely supercharger whine/howl when you clog it.

I think we have a winner, despite the Emira forums doing their very best to make me think it's a clown car which everything falls off

Re: Test drive report

Today was the Emira test drive. At Lotus Birmingham, which is actually the Rybrook Rolls Royce/McLaren dealer in Hockley Heath. A nice civilised place to get to and well within my stamping ground so I know the roads around it well. I must thank those of you who suggested driving it because I really ...

Re: Lotus Emira

I remember how much my Elise depreciated in 3 years. It would now be worth close to its new RRP. V6 manual Emiras must surely be desirable when all new cars are EVs? And they don’t actually make very many so surely they’ll be valuable in future? Or are they simply not special enough… I’ll find out t...

Do you wear your watch while asleep? I take mine off every night so just sticking the Apple Watch on the charger by the bed is quite natural.

Re: Amazon and Proximity

The cheekiest example of geo targeted advertising is you have location always on for an app like uber. They track your location 24/7 and sell your data to retailers, they check that location data to see if you spent any time in a store and if you have they’ll start targeting you for marketing. Ther...

Is that a slick tyre or a very worn one? Anyway, if you don't need the guard for the Autosolo then you'll shave off a few tenths with the weight reduction.
