Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
In practice what he’s proposing won’t discriminate between folk skiving and folk who actually need the support. People are increasingly pressured and the government is now saying that if you struggle with that pressure you just have to suck it up. If what he’s suggesting comes to pass it will he a d...

Is it just me, or does this look like it's been running with no brake pads and the pistons are just pushing straight on the discs ?? The other side is the same. https://m.atcdn.co.uk/a/media/w1024/9590e0102cdf47e295a78be1a73fec7e.jpg https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202404168714726 Really b...

Yeah it’s not going great for them. I think the Cass Report stuff is the final nail for a functional partnership between SNP and the Greens. I’m not convinced that the Humza racism stuff has legs tbh, it’s mostly a political attack imo. Obviously the embezzlement is the big news and I can’t see how ...

Re: Amazon and Proximity
The cheekiest example of geo targeted advertising is you have location always on for an app like uber. They track your location 24/7 and sell your data to retailers, they check that location data to see if you spent any time in a store and if you have they’ll start targeting you for marketing. There...

Check what location data your phone’s sending. Geotargeted advertising has been a thing for ages.

Re: Dangerous beers...
I rarely get them, I’d rather have kombucha. Erdinger is handy if you don’t want to have a pile of sugar/sweeteners as it’s what’s in most bars.

Re: Dangerous beers...
I’ve had a very non-dangerous beer today because I was using a chainsaw and driving afterwards. https://i.ibb.co/LJ2ZmWx/IMG-0203.jpg I haven’t had a 0% beer in a years, this was alright and had an ice tea aftertaste. But I don’t think I’d call it beer - more of a soft drink. Meh, will just buy a c...

I’ve not got anything either, I haven’t needed a car for ages and parking at my place is a nightmare.
May change when I get a new job but the current front runner is in cycling distance.

Road House (New one)
It was alright, Jake Gylenhall was good. It was close enough to the original to be recognisable without being slavish.
Connor McGregor was ridiculous but I’d watch him in more trashy action films tbh.

Finally jumped on the Five Ten bandwagon, my feet have been grumbling about wearing Vans all the time.
First time I’ve ever got shoes specifically for the bike so I’ll be curious to see if they change how I ride.

Re: Twitter
Yeah, permanently banned (on two accounts now, after I posted under a new name to ask why I had been banned  ). Original account was banned for hate speech/incitement. full disclosure I had copped 2 temp bans after some heated discussion in the thread about what’s happening in gaza. Neither was...

Re: Mouse hunting
I never use poison traps as I’m a big softy, whenever I’ve had mice I’ve tracked down where they’re getting in and filled the hole with steel wool and polyfilla.
