Re: Famke Janssens face

Because they're told from a young age that the very worst thing that can happen is getting old so they do anything they can to try and stop it.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Hes so annoying. What do we think the weekend will bring? I was quite surprised Farage was so unhappy with this deal - surely getting out and then adjusting arrangements in time is the best way forward - can't have a perfect deal in one stage that is very apparent. Farage would be against any deal ...

Re: Climate change protestors

Yer man there is tinfoil hat enough for everyone, I had a quick google but I couldn't find anything beyond that link you posted and a Spiked article from Brendan O'Neill so not great sources . There's nothing particularly interesting about protest groups fundraising, Rising Up mention getting f...

Clearly there are people out there stupid enough to believe that.
Apparently people will take any old shite seriously if they see it written down ;)

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Yes but 'Labour' don't need to (and never would) whip for it. Boris just needs a small number of rebel Labour MPs, a number of whom have already said publicly they'll vote for it. I LOL'd over the opening line in one of the Guardian's articles on the renegotiated deal: "Boris Johnson stands triumph...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Its hardly going to get "thrown out of parliament". Its a materially better deal than May achieved (unsurprisingly) which has a very real chance of being passed. Anyone still blathering about it being a "sham negotiation, still wants to crash out with no deal, blah blah blah" has a rather tenuous g...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Eh, it's his usual bully boy bluster. It'll get thrown out of parliament and he'll try and push no deal again. It'll be up to the EU whether that happens.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Still sounds like Boris and Juncker are trying to muscle this deal through. There's a long way to go before anyone can talk in absolutes.

Re: Climate change protestors

They need to pay them more for that. I believe they’re paying the protestors £400 each a week to cause a nuisance. They carelessly left their documents available for all to view earlier this year: https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2019/08/03/is-george-soros-funding-extinction-rebellion/...

I keep forgetting to phone them to do that, mines went up to £40 a couple of months ago.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

It's pedantry but any talk of a deal before it's been approved by all sides is premature. I'd say this is a proposal ;).

A lot of talk that Boris's team have released that tweet prematurely to try and force the DUP to get onside.

Let's see how that goes .

Looks like people within XR were against this protest as well. Either that or trying to save face in hindsight.

Re: Climate change protestors

There are a lot of uncomfortable discussions happening this morning about how white and middle class XR are. This is the second time recently they've done something that really didn't have the right tone imo (the fire engine stunt was the other one). They're pretty much pushing themselves into anoth...

Do you lot still support their methods?
That was stupid and the general consensus from the leftist echo chamber™ agrees.

Disrupting the type of public transport you're trying to encourage people to use is idiotic.
