Re: Lyme's disease

Oh no that's not good. Are you getting IV antibiotics. Can be hard to shift as Lyme Borrelia bacteria can go into hibernation (apparently).

Re: Your fleet running reports

What's the mileage limit on each SJ? :D :D Interesting thing though, putting the Porsche on with Admiral, their default mileage of 10k was actually cheaper than if I put it down to 2k. <shrug> This is an interesting comment. I'd never fiddled around with increasing the estimated mileage. I think bo...

Re: No F1 thread?

Good to see someone else winning today, am I the only one who felt like all media outlets (from Sky where I watched the race, to Gunther in the interviews, to the BBC race report) tried to really play down the reality that Max's car was fucked from the start and that was the only reason Carlos won ...

Re: EV Thread

I'd go so far as to say if you put me in any car blindfolded with earplugs in I'd be able to guess 9 times out of 10 which was an EV purely by its ride quality. Obviously ICE cars can have bad suspension design too but the nauseating lateral shimmy feeling is very much a BEV thing IME. Its made all ...

Re: EV Thread

Maybe best to comment in this thread rather than start a separate one, but from the experience I have had of EVs as a passenger, the biggest issue with them isn't charging infrastructure, battery longevity, etc. its that the ride in them is absolutely appalling. At least, for a good number of them a...

Full Fibre

Anyone upgraded to this & have any experiences to share? I'm out of contract now for Virgin and the price has shot up from originally £30pcm in mid 2022 to £57pcm (reversion to normal rolling monthly price and loss of £6pcm monthly discount). This is for 250mbps speeds, though speedtest.net is t...

- I wouldn't believe anyone who claims they can drift a Countach or apply a well-timed dab of oppo. (I've seen a couple of Youtube videos of people trying to do just that, and they aren't very convincing). I certainly would never have tried it myself. Towards the end of Mel Nichols' 1978 launch sto...

Perfectly period late 90s accessory to match the year correct alpine head unit I already use. Alpine gives strong nostalgia for me. We had a multichanger head unit in our 928 at some point in the early to mid 90s playing the just released Meat Loaf Back into Hell. :D It was a very cool thing, thoug...

So I was warned (via t'internet) to watch out for any electrical gremlins appearing after the security update had been done. I didn't note there there was anything but yesterday I realised the global close function seems to have stopped (i.e. close all windows by holding the lock button on the key)...

It looks like a really clean car inside too :( Apparently retrofitting the facelift rear lights is an expensive exercise too. Location of seller is all the explanation needed... ETA - just seen it has pink brake calipers and the wheels are so dished the wheel weights are on the outside  ...

It still perturbs me when people say this and I realise it now means "turn of the millenium" not 1985.

That's very annoying. I mean "later in the year" should not be acceptable timing for a follow up hearing - the court system really doesn't work does it.

IMO these are the best answer to that question: https://piloti.com/collections/all/products/shift-black Lots of different styles and not obvious they are a driving shoe, nor look like they're from the JJB discount bin. Flexible sole is great for driving. Mine have lasted for years and look barely wo...

New sporty red toy has arrived. https://i.imgur.com/7E8cxy3.jpg It has a V-twin but does not sound like a Ducati. Maybe needs an Akrapovic. The key looks very easy to bypass with a screwdriver; Lock Picking Lawyer would not consider it terribly secure so it is obviously now locked in the garage. Lo...

And the derivative new electric 5 is still easily my favourite new small EV of the moment - design enduring even through re-interpretation.

Re: Your fleet running reports
