Re: PAYG data sim for the car

Can you put your physical one from your phone into the car and have the same one as an e-SIM on your mobile?

Either that or contact your mobile provider and see if they'll do a linked / second SIM on the same number.

Re: Goodwood

82nd Members Meeting was fun - particularly the GT3 demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wx797aOi1sQ Annoyingly I was off faffing around buying signed Le Mans posters and missed Ayrton's JPS Lotus being driven round :( Will post some picture from the proper camera if i get round to editing.

Interesting comparison - I also thought the Fiat was FWD and the Mazda RWD - guess I must be living back in 2004 and thinking about the Barchetta

Re: Car Hire Lottery

Had a recent model (not easy to tell what year from a Portuguese plate) 330e Touring whilst on holiday recently. https://i.imgur.com/TMc4Yym.jpeg Nice looking thing though had done over 100k kilometres and was scratched dinged or scuffed on every panel :? I was very impressed with the drivetrain - i...

Yes you can't come dead last in quali in competitive machinery without expecting imminent replacement.

Re: Randomness

Just be careful in putting the power down so you don't leave skid marks around the back, otherwise it may be Charles LeMerde.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Pretty sure you can request a new V5 online. MIL had to do it last year to allow me to sell my later FIL's old Volvo. Sorry I get you now - you can't do that as you're at a different address so need to change details. That is annoying. Can't you speak nicely to the new inhabitants of the old address...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Does it sit for long periods, like weeks unused? My 996 was noisy on start up if left for a bit. I also started using 10-40 rather than 0-40 which helped smoking on start up and the noise. I think it's a case of TADTS. Its only used sparingly but equally doesn't sit for weeks. It doesn't really var...

911 is in with Porsche to have a look at the startup clatter - typically now its with them it is not doing it.   Does it sit for long periods, like weeks unused? Re: State of the Roads

The roads do seem to be in an absolutely terrible state overall don't they. The road at the bottom of ours which goes up over the hill to Honor Oak is absolutely shocking. The link below has a good example of the patch on patch on patch of shitty repairs and this was last summer so you can imagine h...

Re: No F1 thread?

How long are we giving it before Lawson gets the boot? Pressure on him must be intense, not long at all (surely only Checo's backing earned him the time he got), they've generally been brutal. Winning WDC and being nowhere in WCC seems quite probable based on current form. Changeover will occur aft...
