Re: Where would you live?
A tedious point but if you plan to have infirm elderly relatives live with you, you will really have to consider access to GP and other services and for me that makes living rurally a no-no. Mine are lucky to live in a big suburb with a decent GP, although Leeds General Infirmary could be better. A...

We’ve a bigger relocation job including getting my son into another school so realistically you’ll be buying before us anyway.

Big spec Rangie LWB Autobiography with individual rear seats. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186149937920 Not sure how practical Ivory leather is, but that does look like an extremely nice place to do some miles in - regardless of the seat you choose. 8-) From experience the ivory leather is fine. Main...

I love it!
12 cylinder cars suit more grown up colours though - red would not be my choice.
€400k though - ouchie.

Re: Where would you live?
Following on from the “woman” topic, I’ve decided to buy somewhere for me.. ideally I’d like this to be my last UK purchase and so I have a few requisites: must be a min 2 bedroom in main house with an annexe for my parent(s) as my dad is not well medically. It needs to have a three car garage (to ...

Re: The Weather Thread.
Woken up a while back by the storm - much thunder and lightning and a fair bit o' rain too, plus foxes being noisy (which might explain some of the banging and crashing). Air quality is still described as 'poor' :( I didn't say at the time that the last full moon was the Pink Moon and it was in Sco...

Re: Your fleet running reports
To be fair it was very much preventative - there was some drop in the oil level of what should in theory be a sealed unit and that is indicative of a PTU that will fail at some point. No idea how long it would actually go before it actually failed. Probably another 15k I would imagine. Interestingly...

Re: Your fleet running reports
You want a 612 - the best looking Ferrari ever made. And it’s simple RWD. I can only assume this is a joke... :?: I don't think I could ever buy a 612, 550 or 456 as the engines are just not in the same league as the F140 series - I would have to have something with an "Enzo" engine in it...

Re: Your fleet running reports
…I don't want to have to do it again in another 15,000 miles when it isn't under powerplus warranty  I’m sure it’s not what you meant, but that kinda makes it sound like the gearboxes only last 15k miles  Unless that is what you meant  That's how long the first one has lasted!! ET...

What's the best Ferrari forum to get a view for actual real world feedback and buying guides? @Sundayjumper @IanF #stealthpost Worst now I am not spunking all my money on building a house I can now afford a Ferrari post ever  Of course it needs to be a 355 (Berlinetta or Spider doesn't matter)...

Pretty much a foregone conclusion he will go to the Scuderia unless he quits entirely (which is a possibility!) If so, would be interesting to see if beginning of 2025 is long enough to mould the 2026 car - you would expect so as my understanding is that the aero regs have not yet been finalised (an...

I'd like that a lot... if it had a V8 in it.
It does rather look like your Dad now needs a chauffeur however.

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
To a degree - the other main source of tax receipts is VAT and those paying the most income tax will also be paying the lions share of VAT as well (plus CGT.. unless your name is Angela), though I take your point that low earners are not exempted from that. In many ways it would be more equitable to...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
I say give everyone what they want and let the 5% provide all 😎 This is pretty much the system we have. Most of the population don't pay their fair share of tax at this point. 53.8% are net receipients of hand outs from the state and over 40% pay no income tax at all. Maybe we need to invert the ol...

Re: Car Hire Lottery
Seems like we've been lucky with Easter Holiday school timings this year and my son's school has later dates than most others. As a result everything seems to be priced lower in Portugal at the moment and I upgraded the hire car to "C class or equivalent". Rather surprisingly we actually g...
