Re: Test drive report

The mileage discrepancy seems to just be one MOT with no mileage recorded. All the others are consistent. I have a mileage discrepancy on the 330, thanks to an MOT tester typing 133,000 instead of 113,000 one year  I wonder if there is a way of rectifying such a discrepancy. Issue is likely e...

Re: Test drive report

Turbo cars are notorious for needing new turbos aren't they. Trying to remember whether that was 993 or 996 but probably both - issuing being that they're low to the ground and get immersed in water and other shit which weld the wastegates shut IIRC.

Re: And then there was none..

Actually - I smell an opportunity here... Ian my friend... I have a very exclusive members club - GGAutos. Its a mere £10,000 p.a. buy in and you get annual usage of my 911 and Range Rover and whole 100 miles per year! 50% the cost and double the mileage of those other chancers. If you're on board I...

Re: Dangerous beers...

I find that much above 7/8% the taste tends to suffer, e.g. Westmalle Dubel is excellent - tripel somewhat less so.

When do I get barred from the thread for enjoying Bud?
Immediately

I remember going on a trip to Belgium as a 14 year old on a school trip. That was eye opening for some kids whose only drinking experience was Fosters in the local pub

Re: And then there was none..

The thing with these schemes is that if you're wealthy enough to buy in you're wealthy enough to buy or rent the car so in effect they're pointless.

Effectively a grand a day with an averaged out limit of 50 miles per day.

You'd have to be a stupendous moron.

Borrow one of your brother's cars. Don't do it in the Smart. You'll either end up dead or wishing you were dead.

Doesn't he already have a Bentley?

Anyway - correct answer is an L405 FFRR TDV8. Loire Blue with Ivory interior to be precise. Call me for details.

Re: Test drive report

Maybe relevant to post this here as much as the fleet running reports - my son is now tall enough to sit without a child seat so he now ocassionally travels in the front of the 911 when his mum is not with us. He got to do that on Sunday and I took him down Harry's road (which he has seen in the vid...

Re: Test drive report

With the particular chassis dynamics of a 911 I'm not against ensuring it has the maximum traction available... Even with 295s on the back of mine, across a twisty B-road in Scotland over crests and dips you can feel the rear subtly moving and shimmying across the road surface - I'm not sure I'd wan...

Re: Test drive report

That turbo is a tip - are you looking for a manual or an auto. If the latter you need to go for a 997.2 with the PDK IMO. I'd always spend the extra on the 997.2 having owned one and driven my fathers 997.1. Its mandatory to retrofit the PSE sports exhaust (as I did) but that can be done easily and ...
