Re: Mini Cooper D for sells.

Yes, fine thanks. Body-builder roid type in one with a plate like V10 RAM or similar. Expected my Dad to yield as he forced his way into a merge at 60mph. Literally drove over him and crushed him against the central reservation. Then threatened to batter him for not letting him in. Wankers everywher...

Yeah. I've finally got fed up with his bullshit and I'm calling him out properly on it.
LOL, have a look in the mirror mate, that's pathetic.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Because I won't google footage for you to show something that most people would understand to be obvious... It's not obvious though. To me it's obvious that a harness will hold you in place and the downward motion you're talking about is either negligible or non-existent. That's why I'm asking you ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

It seems to have illustrated how full of shit you are, so I'm pretty happy with the outcome thanks. Because I won't google footage for you to show something that most people would understand to be obvious and because I didn't photograph a seat I saw at a Stockhatch race about 15 years ago? Point pr...

Re: Yokohama AD08R discontinued

Not a trye I'll miss, I didn't ever really get the hype. I toasted the set I had without trying hard.

No video footage or pictures unfortunately so the above obviously didn't actually happen.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Have you seen footage of a collision with harnesses? They can stretch a not-inconsiderable amount. It's why they'll often cut them after a crash so that people won't be tempted to use them again or sell them on. Schroth (and therefore TAKATA etc too) even make a whole line of them with a double stit...

Re: My B-I-L

What a wanker. he isn't talking to MrsREV because she wouldn't let him tag along on our anniversary night out (meal and a U2 concert). Could you not have just made him go to the U2 concert so you didn't have to? Possibly a bit of a severe punishment for his cuntery but tough justice may be the shock...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I'd guess that in a crash the harnesses would crush the seat... If the harness is at such an angle it could crush the seat, it's wrongly mounted in the first place. I was more concerned that the top of the seat could just snap off, failing its job as a head restraint, and leaving some nice sharp sp...

Re: Your fleet running reports

There are numerous solutions. The Corbeau LE-X you've linked to is possibly the worse one though. I had a set and sold them on before ever using them in anger. They're really flimsy and badly made. The covers are held on with elastic and just slip off constantly. They're also a very small shell, whi...

Re: Your fleet running reports

...and to remind you of the mindset of the person who'd fitted the grommets to that car... It had a Tillett B5 and proper harness on the drivers' side. The seat with harness grommets was on the passenger side when I got it. The driver's harness was fitted properly. The passenger harness had been fit...

Re: Your fleet running reports

One of the grommets on the one I acquired had come apart so I had to bond it back together. You can see how the grommets are fitted to a part of the seat that is about 3mm thick GRP. It's essentially a headrest. The thicker stronger frame of the seat is easy to see below. http://stenelson.co.uk/elis...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The harnesses may not be as simple as i first thought. General consensus on the forums/groups are that the standard seats need modified to accept them or they just slip off. Hmm.. Yep, you need proper seats or they're just dangerous. I had one with the grommets cut into the original seats. http://s...

The Exige I get to drive occasionally has the full 2bular system on it. It sounds fucking ace, really makes the car into a mini supercar IMO. 8-)

Re: Bicycle for sells

A house. I need every penny at the moment. I have 5 bikes at the moment and will have to put some bikes in storage while I have no garage during the building work. I just realised its daft to store them all for the whole summer. I also enjoy the building part, so will build another one when I ...

Re: Bicycle for sells

Ah I’ve just checked, 54 is for heights up to about 5’7” :( That must be where I've been going wrong all these years then. I'm 5' 10" / 5' 11" on a good day. It fits me perfectly and I have no spacers under the stem, effectively making the frame as small as it can be. From the facto...

Re: Bicycle for sells

I'm in West Sussex. At 6' 4" it's likely to be too small for you. I'm under 6' and it's a small frame for me. I prefer it that way and have a long stem etc on it. It's also v. low at the front, unless you're used to riding bikes like this and are flexible then you may struggle. (Assuming if you...
