Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
I have a towbar carrier for 4 bikes, so that's kinda taken care of. Some of the sites we go to are up long tracks, the X5 can struggle but just about manages, a 2wd van would really struggle. I know 4wd ones are available but they tend to be too tall. In fact, some places we go you can't get a norma...

Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.
I want: - 110 crewcab Defender pickup. For mountain biking duties. - Mk2 Golf GTI 16v (3dr, black >'90) to squirrel away and keep forever. I've had real pangs of regret recently for selling my last one. - New family bus which is very TBC. Was looking at B7 RS4, Velar, F31 340i Touring, A6 Avant FSI ...

Re: GDPR - anyone here know much about it?
My take would be that you hold PID and like it or not you haven't asked for it and nor do you have authority to share it. It may be in the public domain elsewhere, but you're still holding it and presenting it. I imagine a good first step would be a mailshot with opt-in via an action. ie. you can't ...

Re: Footpump recommendation?
I have a Porsche branded compressor that I knicked from a 944 boot before I sold it. It's ace. That's my usual one I'll take to a trackday.
re. actual footpumps, I've found a cycling track pump does a better job. Less effort and pumps up quicker.

I still get it and have all my backissues too. I don't think I can stop buying it and to be fair, there's always at least one thing I enjoy reading in it. It's just a shame that I now skip the majority of the mag whereas at first I'd devour every word.

Re: Just looking
I've got a massive boner for a V6 Exige too though which surprises me. A few local friends now have them, in fact 3 of them have bought them in the last year, one has upgraded to the bigger supercharger kit that Hoffmans offer ( 350bhp ) I think the TVS1900 liberates a few more ponies that. :? Yeah...

Re: Your fleet running reports
That would make sense, but the reality seems to be that it doesn't really make much difference. They use the ZZS for the 420r championship and those boys don't seem to struggle with them going off.

ACB10's are Formula Ford tyres - very much still in production on 13" sizes http://www.avonmotorsport.com/motorsport/formula-ford/acb10 The Caterham ones are wider than the FF ones, they're also a different construction and have the necessary markings on the sidewalls to make them road legal. ...

What sizes are you using ste? Avon zzr are one of the only tyres still made in 185 55 13 which were the original metro GTi size. Hoping they're still made when I eventually build it 😂 Fronts will be 185/55/13s Currently it has 2 sets of wheels, one with Toyo 888s on and one with Yoko A021r wets, bo...

Re: Your fleet running reports
New tyres all round on the Caterham along with some other bits and bobs mean this service is becoming rather expensive. :| Which tyres did you go for Duncs? I've just bought 'new' tyres for mine too. As per usual, ZZRs, but a set of used ones off a race team for £70 for all 4. :D They'll do me for ...
