Re: Trump
Naïve, Zed, naïve. The ban on foreign nationals being president will only be lifted for one specific individual. In the same way that presidential absolute immunity (including crimes committed when not in office) will only ever apply to one specific individual.

Re: Trump
Are any of the online betting platforms offering odds on Musk being president in five years or less ? That'd be amazing. Go from "deport all immigrants" to "immigrants for president". It's entirely possible. The "deport all immigrants" thing won't apply to the ones wor...

Re: Trump
We're in a post-truth world. If people want to believe it, it's true. Lack of evidence is just proof it's already been covered up by teh deep state.

Re: what car thread - Lotus Edition
Well, i’ve provisionally bought a pimped up black T6.1 (needs slamming still, but that will follow) and sold the M2, so the next part is to find the perfect Lotus. Or..... get fed up going in circles looking for a Lotus, get fed up parking the T6 on a daily basis, sell it and buy an M3 Touring ;)

Re: Trump
I think the Democrats will go back to a male candidate next time. Sadly the US electorate seem unwilling to vote for a woman. Aspiring Dem leaders may as well start doing crime, it's not going to hurt their chances is it ? It's tempting to think there's nothing you can say or do in America that wil...

Re: Dogecoin etc
I use IG for our ISAs and have found them pretty good. Recent withdrawals to bank account have been near instant. They botched a recent pay-in though, due to the bank account being a joint account and thus not exactly matching *my* name. Got it sorted reasonably easily.

Re: Trump
I’m fully expecting the liberals to do their own version of stop the steal tbh. But this is the other way around. Trump wanted to ignore loads of valid but uncounted ballots. That's blatant and easy to resolve - just count them. This time the ballots were never placed. Short of re-running the whole...

Re: Dogecoin etc
For relatively short term, I’d always go with premium bonds. I think prize fund averages out it at 4.1% return (this may be old, I’ve not looked in a while) and there is always a chance of a big win. Dave! It’s 4.4% now but that’s a mean average. Real average returns are a lot lower than that. Medi...
Re: Trump
It looks like a collapse in the dems numbers is at least partially responsible. Turnout was low in general but the dems lost 14 mil votes compared to 2 mil or so for trump. This is bothering me. The implication is that c. 14m people that voted for Biden last time decided to not vote at all this tim...

You've made me start looking again. This is almost OK. More expensive psqft but very tall so you could put in a load of mezzanine and have a huge amount of storage.

This house has a lift installed on the driveway. I didn’t know they were weatherproof. It’s always got a knackered Range Rover or Disco on it  https://maps.app.goo.gl/ogTSiWdsBCqfoR2p8?g_st=ic Looking at the older streetview dates you can see it cycle through them  Having a lift is just p...
