Re: Your fleet running reports

As far as I know it’s not broken, just high miles: 135k. But drives beautifully, is one owner from new, and has been serviced on time every year. It also has the correct OEM Pirelli tyres all round with loads of tread. Seems like a car that’s been looked after. It’s being delivered tomorrow with an...

Re: Your fleet running reports

What trim level was the one you looked at? I would also try and get the Vogue SE with the soft fold doors if your wife/kids/MIL are anything like mine - its has saved opening and re-closing a not fully closed door approximately 3.6million times in the last two years  It was an Autobiography. T...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Incidentally, on the way there, at one of the big roundabouts near here there were some crusty protesters with "less solar more real farms" placards. I didn't realise anti-solar was a subset of environmental issues ? Anyway, I considered shouting "GET A FCUKING HAIRCUT, HIPPY" bu...

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

Drinks less than the 120d and 320d courtesy cars he’s had despite its size. They were broken or he was ragging them senseless. The 120d especially should do 60+mpg without breaking a sweat. Even my old E46 320td would do 60mpg and that was without any modern tech. And it had over 200k miles on it.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Bentley provisionally sold, to be collected some time next week. Fcuking cars. I fcuking hate cars sometimes. I knew I shouldn't have posted anything until it had actually gone ! I'd agreed a sale on the Bentley but needed to replace the front air springs as one had started leaking - bloody typical...

I think so. Rightly or wrongly I think of them as semi-professional, a step up from DIY grade. @V8Granite is my tool guru, I'd appreciate his opinion on this :)

Re: Jack envy

Never tried one, but the 150mm low-height would put me off (and the 400mm fully-raised height isn’t that impressive either). I meant in addition to a regular jack, not instead of. Times where you need to jack something in the middle of the car and don't have room to crank a normal jack handle up &a...

Re: Jack envy

How's everybody's jacks doing ? My Costco/Arcan one has finally pissed me off enough that I want to replace it. The main cylinder leaks and the small one keeps sticking so I have to prise it back out with a screwdriver almost every time. Because all my cars are shit and broken all the time I seem to...

Re: Your fleet running reports

If you're still looking at the end of the year let's stay in touch as mine may be heading for pastures new. It's a lovely spec (SDV8, Vogue SE, opening pan roof, deployable tow bar), serviced by JLR and under warranty. Probably worth high 30s currently but I'd rather sell it to you than a randomer....
