Re: Randomness

And I just got this in a mailshot from Papa Johns. Surely this was meant to be an April Fool's prank ???

Is it just me, or does this look like it's been running with no brake pads and the pistons are just pushing straight on the discs ?? The other side is the same.

Re: The ebay thread

Hmm. I'm never a fan of black wheels but that's easy enough to fix. Otherwise it's quite appealing. And it's the same place Rev got his shonky Porsche from 8-)

Depends if the car is parked outside, or if the photos were taken on the driveway.

If you Google my postcode it's extremely obvious which house is mine

Not sure if it specifically helps with the TVR, but the place in Vulcan Way in Sandhurst gave my Smart a clean pass which was...... surprising. In a nice way.

Viewing a Car - POLL

Sparked by a conversation with Gavster.

This has happened a couple of times - a seller that won't give you their house number, just a postcode and wants you to phone them when you get to that road.

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers

They have very little headroom. I looked at one last year. My head didn’t just touch the headlining, it touched the glass of the sunroof.

Seemed nice otherwise.

Also 20mpg vs. 24mpg. It doesn’t sound much, 4mpg, but it’s +20% !

Re: Your fleet running reports

What is causing the change? I bought the Bentley last year when I was 100% WFH and it was a nice novelty that did few miles. A new job started in January and having used the Bentley & the Cayenne more or less back to back for the slog to work (80 miles each way, mostly motorway, only once every...

Re: “Black Edition”

That’s Cayenne Turbo has black trim round the windows - isn’t that quite rare? My S6 is a black edition. Until the 2023 models the black editions came with chrome Audi rings. They finally went for black rings for mine. I quite like them. Your Audi was sold as a”Black Edition” and is a thing - that’...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I didn’t mean no headlining at all & paint the metal black ! The card/board backing would remain and that probably does most (?) of the sound proofing. And I was talking about my compact here - it’s already pretty noisy with stiff engine mounts, lightweight solid flywheel and low gearing. I don’...
