Re: Today’s want

I really don’t know. These cars are generally pretty tough. Suspension fault maybe. Engine light should be an MOT fail ? I’m going to have to ask.

Re: Today’s want

Kinda want. A Cayenne GTS to replace my non-GTS. It’s the same colour so I could probably swap it over without the wife noticing  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166667577686 HOWEVER big red flag in the description: “ The car has 2 warning lights shown but these have been fully investigated by Graha...

Not sure if joking ;) Real answer is that it’s his MOD civilian grade, B2 being approximately equal to Colonel in responsibility. But with less chance of getting shot. https://creative.bfbs.com/sites/creative.bfbs.com/files/2023-11/UK%20Defence%20Ranks%20explained%20by%20BFBS%20Creative%20Combined.pdf

This could work for me. I'd need to employ an interior designer to finish it, but the workshop space is "ample". https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/145909763 Ha ! I’ve been there, I mentioned it on here at the time. He’s tidied it up a lot since then, none of that exterior landscaping...

Re: FTAO EV owners - possible action required before end of March-24

I can't say I've ever tried it, but can you really re-tax your car when the existing tax hasn't run out ? I'd always rather assumed it needs to be SORNed or already expired or else "computer says no" because it doesn't need taxing. Yes - I followed the above process this morning. Mrs mik'...

There seems to be a whole subculture of jacked up Smarts, they keep cropping up in my feed. I don’t get it. I can’t believe they’re any good off road.

Re: So I done a thing the weekend (very slow race content)

Yay ! Surprisingly difficult isn’t it ? Getting soundly thrashed by some old bloke in a shitty micra who’s been doing stuff like this for decades really opens your eyes to how bad your own driving is.

Re: The ebay thread

That’s ... broken. Which/where/why? :? Well the rear suspension doesn’t look too healthy and I’m immediately suspicious of it not being UK registered. Expecting a “just needs <xxx> for MOT easy job” from the seller  Also the interior is shagged and at 150k miles the whole thing is going to be ...

that's awesome, though how much does the fleet cost? Last renewal for the main policy with Reis was at the end of July and came to: £401.46 Cayenne £370.90 Flying Spur £321.02 Vantage £236.25 Cooper S £137.92 Compact By total coincidence (honestly) the 360 arrived one day before the Reis renewal da...

With the excitement of maybe having the Porsche nice to drive again I figured I should insure & tax it and properly try it out. It’s been off the road for over two years. I had some trepidation due to all the stories of insurance going through the roof recently, but adding it to the admiral poli...
