Re: Your fleet running reports

Got your eyes set on anything in particular, or are you waiting for the gods of eBay and Half Decent Wine to get together and make you regret your life choices? This is also quite possible 😂 A newer Cayenne or a Merc GL are on the reserve list. There’s a box of Co-op Pinot Grigio in the fridge. Che...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Indeed. Currently obsessing with specs of L405 Range Rovers. In theory one of those would cover the roles of both Cayenne & Bentley.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Bentley provisionally sold, to be collected some time next week.

The Cayenne needs a scrub up & a new MOT, then that can go up for sale too.

I'm behaving myself at the moment and waiting until both are gone before I buy anything new.

Re: People (Office)

...why did we all decide that we wanted to go back to it? I don't think we did. I certainly didn't  In our group we try to all go into the office on Thursdays. We don't have allocated desks so we all sit in a conference room for the day. It's useful to be able to go through stuff face to face,...

Interesting. Diplomatic sale makes total sense on that kind of car.

A LWB Range Rover from our favourite Reading bargain-basement outlet. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/838590548091747/?ref=marketplace_profile&referral_code=undefined VERY strangely if you look up the MOT history, DVLA have it registered as a "LANDROTER RANGEROVER". Exactly t...

Not eBay but online - does anyone here have kindle unlimited ? I’m hugely intrigued about the contents of this book: https://amzn.eu/d/5dE8JP1 These are the stories that I probably shouldn’t share… Arresting a bride at her wedding An Aztec-style sacrifice Subversion in the ranks A naked dog thief An...

Re: The ebay thread

Far and away the cheapest manual 360 I’ve seen. I don’t want to say suspiciously cheap, and there’s no immediate alarms going off, but it’s very cheap. The next cheapest manual is an extra £17,500 and it’s a spider.

Compare cost of filters etc. with these guys on eBay. They’re my go-to for everything except oil.

I get oils from here. Not sure why their feedback looks bad, I’ve had zero problems with them.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

Just around the corner from here. I went past it about 3pm yesterday when it had clearly only just happened - traffic stopped & people standing around. This photo is today. I’m not even sure how they managed to do it. It’s not a fast piece of road. Looks like they bounced off the tree and slid b...

Re: Today’s want

I don’t think I could do that gen of RR until it’s a bit less desirable to the sticky fingered. I’ve said before but my ideal RR would be a late V8 L322 visually backdated to take all the tacky shiny bits off. My lean to the L405 is for a pretty minor reason - a lot of them have a nice factory-fitt...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Are you sure it's not consuming the oil via the PCV valve ? My E39 did both

Cam cover gasket wasn't too difficult, PCV was a PITA.

...it seems like a waste of time. Unless a small and hugely boosted VAG engine proves more reliable than the original Porsche unit. I'll revise it to "unless you've got a highly tuned 1.8T or a boxster with a knackered engine lying about, it seems like a waste of time". If you're buying a...

I like light colours on big luxury cars to increase the airiness, and black on small sports cars to reduce distractions.

Much like this

We had one almost identical ! Reg was SKR 176R, DVLA says it's not been taxed since September 1989 which was quite possibly when we sold it.
