I’ve said before but my ideal RR would be a late V8 L322 visually backdated to take all the tacky shiny bits off. My lean to the L405 is for a pretty minor reason - a lot of them have a nice factory-fitt...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Are you sure it's not consuming the oil via the PCV valve ? My E39 did both

Cam cover gasket wasn't too difficult, PCV was a PITA.

...it seems like a waste of time. Unless a small and hugely boosted VAG engine proves more reliable than the original Porsche unit. I'll revise it to "unless you've got a highly tuned 1.8T or a boxster with a knackered engine lying about, it seems like a waste of time". If you're buying a...

I like light colours on big luxury cars to increase the airiness, and black on small sports cars to reduce distractions.

Much like this

We had one almost identical ! Reg was SKR 176R, DVLA says it's not been taxed since September 1989 which was quite possibly when we sold it.

It's not full jobbo (never go full jobbo, at least not with your own money), but how do we feel about the reddish brown dash top & carpet ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355690001258 s-l1600 (5).jpg (yes, I'm mildly obsessing atm, but any purchase will hinge on selling the Spur & the Cayenne, s...

Re: Your fleet running reports

It's suspension problems a go-go this weekend  Today I had the Bentley up in the air to re-fit the engine undertray that I'd not put back on after doing the oil change a few weeks ago. That went OK but when I tried driving it later on I almost immediately got a red " STOP! VEHICLE TOO LOW...

It's definitely a lot of car. It's also a lot of money.
Almost the same spec apart from not LWB, 2 years older, and nearly half the price. That's more my level.

That’s a lot of car for the money! It's definitely a lot of car. It's also a lot of money. However ! For a Range Rover with more LWB, for less money, this is being auctioned next week. A quick insurance quote comes in at only 3x what I pay for the Cayenne right now.

I think there's a standard width for house boats, "double" means it's twice that width.

A bit like "double garage".

I don't often order them but I do like chicken pakora. I feel guilty as they're too close to chicken nuggets, and then you're on the verge of ordering chips in a curry house, which I'd never do. OT, I used to work with a chap whose family ran a Chinese restaurant/takeaway and he said omelette was on...
