I now have a 3.6kW inverter / 4.2kWh battery combo. Aston for scale. That’s just the cover in the pic but it shows how much wall space I need to clear in the garage 🙄

The "correct" OEM Bridgestones are £214.99 each on Blackcircles atm. Same size Continental or Goodyear £180.

Yay ! We've had our (non-S) a year this Saturday and it's been great.

Although did you look at the price of the very special tyres needed for the "S" ?

Re: Jack envy

Fairly ancient 18V DeWalt. As long as the battery is fully charged it gets wheel bolts out no problem. Putting them in, a brief blip so they’re seated, then torque wrench when it’s back on the ground.

I have the Halfords 3 tonne one, I’m happy with it. They often have discounts & promos so keep an eye out.

Oh, I’d assumed this was all Renault warranty work :( Explains their reluctance to work on it any further when they know they don’t know what they’re doing.

Re: Your fleet running reports

If it’s any consolation the N14/N18 in the earlier models are prone to valve stem seals too. I wouldn’t worry about it until it gets embarrassingly bad.

On reliability ? Well, as far as I know, mine has been 100% reliable since the MOT in December. It’s also 100% not left the garage

In all seriousness, it’s been a good car. It needed a thermostat & bonnet micro switch just after I bought it in Aug 2017. I’ve replaced the boot & bonnet gas ...

The Disco did some work today - collecting all the cones after the FDMC Summer Solo and taking them back to the storage unit.

Zero surprises. It’s perfectly capable of pulling a small trailer.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Try for the exact displacement of the engines so you can do some decent miles please

Sadly I have the details to hand and it would require me to do 17,640 miles. I work from home so this would be quite difficult to achieve without some serious commitment. 339 miles every single weekend ??

And ...

Legal numberplate day for the 360 and we have what I believe is called "flying colours". 377 miles since last year.

Good that you beat 360.

Could you go nuts and put more than 911 on the Porsche this year? :?

Oooh I didn’t think of that. I wonder if I can put exactly 360 / 911 miles on ...

And a reverse-spotted if that's a thing, i.e. being spotted. For some reason there's regularly roadworks on the road through Sandhurst. One afternoon this week, in the 360, sitting stationary, there was a young lad on a mountain bike on the pavement on the other side of the road, loitering staring ...
