What are the anti vibration things for ?
Didn't this come up already recently ? I left them out last time I did brake stuff and haven't noticed any difference.

Re: The ebay thread

I was thinking along those lines. £20k is a decent amount of money. How can you be clever / successful enough to have a spare £20k, yet dumb enough to want one of those ?

Re: Coronavirus

It’s OK, it’s not ending soon. We’ve been giving out used swabs to encourage cross-contamination.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I quite liked the front, the V12 had a slightly different body kit to the cooking models and looked quite good I thought. But you're right about the interior. In particular the integration of the nav screen & controls was awful compared to BMW. The cheapest option for the rear brakes was from Tarox,...

Re: Your fleet running reports

A bit of a long story, but I don’t have a Q7 any more. There were various niggles that the dealer was very good about sorting but it needed new rear brake discs and confronted with that - they’re carbon-ceramic and c. £4k EACH for new ones from Audi - the best option for everyone was just to give it...

Tyres & brake hoses arrived. Will fit them tomorrow if I can BA. Tyres were a good deal @ £120 for 4. Hoses are just nice to have.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Small spending spree today. Spurred by having had A Good Day on Sunday, I’m treating the Compact to new tyres, braided brake hoses & grooved discs. New tyres are a real treat as I’ve only ever used cheap s/h wheels & tyres that I’ve found on eBay. Hoses are a sensible thing. Discs are just to look p...

Think that rear wheel bearing that was flagged up at the MOT is starting to give up the ghost. Oh well, that'll be fun...
I’ve said it before - rear bearings on a BMW are a pig of a job. Bite the bullet and pay a specialist.

Hey Jon - I was thinking we should try and expand the OV9 presence at events, do you reckon we could con a couple of mugs from the forum into navigating for us at a Targa next year ?

Re: Your fleet running reports

You get a map beforehand, and you can walk the course. The gates and turns are marked with small cones on their side pointing to the side you have to pass. You should be able to see them in the vid.

It all makes a lot more sense IRL !

Re: Gt3 Mk1 prices

Not relevant to the question, but along the lines of Foz's experience, I remember Northway had a GT3 for £30K in late 2011 when I bought my C2 from them for £13.5k. There was something odd about the spec IIRC but it wasn't totally suspiciously cheap and Northway are a legit company. At the time Jobb...
