Very few around here, it's all new Defenders. But I thought the same thought 🤣 There must be some good deals for people rinsing the finance though their companies.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Not exactly cheap for two little bits of carpet, but not outstandingly stoopid at £120)

But well worth it IME. I've had all kinds of mats over the years, including some not-cheap not-OEM "OEM quality" ones and it's only the genuine ones that are any good. All the others are rubbish. They never ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

£110 for OEM Brembo stuff (off eBay in the end, cheaper than AutoDoc)

I've had mixed experiences with autodoc. Exceptional range of parts, but usually quite slow to arrive.

By far my fave is Carparts in Motion via ebay:

Aesthetically, and mostly engineering-wise - yes.

But they’re €½m and will probably have a waiting list into the next decade. Overs market will be insane. The share dip is brief & based on the opinions of people that aren’t on the invite list.

I think it looks rubbish. I am not the target market ...

Not just similar times though, similar cars (or styles). As above the Caterhams were fast in the corners but slow on the straights. Cars (/drivers) that are fast on the straights but terrible on corners might produce comparable lap times but would piss each other off constantly.

Much better, almost Mondial proportions.

It is, but it's also no longer a practical 4-door family car, which was mostly the point of the exercise.

And/or an EV sports car that looks like that and has an even slightly vaguely useful range is physically impossible right now because of the size ...

Re: Bedford Autodrome - 20th July

I am in no way a track day expert 🤣 but I did one at Brands and honestly didn't really enjoy it. The Indy circuit is really short. It wasn't helped by the fact there were loads of Caterham racers there that day; they're fast in the corners but awful on the straights, I was constantly backing off on ...

I don’t think it ever had a problem with leaving a dirty patch in the centre of the screen. Anyway on the E series stuff I’ve been in BMW never swapped them from LHD to RHD but it also never bothered me.

Ah, yes, on the E39 they simply didn't bother at all 🤣 and that did bother me as I'm tall ...

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal

i3 had that style of wiper but they parked at the bottom. I never liked them because they also reminded me of commercial vehicles and some Vauxhalls.

W639 Vito was like that too. I’d always assumed it was cost saving so they didn’t need to engineer different LHD/RHD versions. Never actually ...

That Boxster looks good to me. If you’re wanting summer top-down fun you need to buy it before the summer… not after… obvs.

I had warned Gavster in advance that a bit of smoke in the engine is probably OK as it's done it for ages, and to only start worrying if there's actual flames 👍

Re: Your fleet running reports

The oil leak from the 360 looks to be from the cam cover gaskets, right at the front, and it's a common thing apparently. The parts are really not too expensive at about £100 for the gaskets & some sealant. Sealant. You need sealant because you have to cut the gasket to fit (!!) around the opening ...

996 with an aerokit, or a Vantage.

Or two F10 M5s so you have a backup when they break down 🤣

Re: Your fleet running reports

It should be noted that this put the 360 in Limp Home mode just as Gavin exited a motorway.

I’m not entirely sure what caused it. I strongly suspect it’s just being Italian and is jealous of the attention I’ve given to the M5. It also had a bit of a gearbox paddy the day I first went to view ...
