Re: Cool air from heat pump - useful ??

I really wanted to put a heat pump in our conservatory, as you can imagine it gets terribly hot in there in winter and it's only a short distance across the patio from that to where I erect the pool. So I could be cooling the house and heating the pool at the same time. Perfect heat-pumponomics. Wil...

Re: The Weather Thread.

We (I) put the pool up a couple of days ago. Basically spent most of today chilling in it with the kids.

Ah. And as much as I hate Musk there's a difference between having the government as your customer for services and products, and actual corporate aid, tax breaks and public grants.

Re: Elon Musk/Tesla

I was sitting in a client meeting a few years ago when another of his rockets exploded on the launchpad. Think it had a meta satellite on it that time?

Re: The Movie Thread

Respectfully, the facts and reality don't paint Stockton in a particularly good light. There's no way a Netflix docu would turn that around. The guy was a moron. The only shame is that he took 3 innocent people with him when he got squished.

Re: Your fleet running reports

The tractor seems to have got a slow puncture as I parked it in fine and now it has a totally flat tyre. It was the right hand tyre and leaning almost on the right hand garage wall. Couldn’t access the valve so slowly reversed it out and the tyre came off the bead. I’m now watching videos of people...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Nah, it's not good policing to basically let off someone riding that badly with a couple of stern words. He needs prosecuting for dangerous driving. Absolute bell end. And "22mph?"Fuck off trying to insult our intelligence. That's bad copping.

Re: 737 Max

I really disliked the 787 I flew to Vegas in. It was loud, cramped and uncomfortable compared to the A380 I'd flown to San Francisco in 6 months prior.

Re: 737 Max

787 flaps are hard to spot from the rear. Looking at the rear view it looks like it's pitching up more and more which suggests its losing speed, which suggests dual engine failure of some description. Maybe a dual bird strike. Apparently pilots put out a mayday at 600ft then nothing.

Re: Elon Musk/Tesla

TBF it is also the drivers fault. No way I'd let a car continue at that speed into a 'blind' situation on autopilot. Was the driver having a nap or a wank?

I'm going to bed now but drop me a PM with your exact use case and I'll tell you what I think when i get 5 minutes between my kids fighting for my attention tomorrow.

Warning - it may not be pretty but hopefully I can make you think about it a different way.
