Re: State of the Roads

Yup, I went to Menorca about 6 years ago and was blown away by how smooth all the roads were. Maybe someone is ripping us off?

So it's a mild hybrid then? No doubt a full hybrid would've added lots of weight and the purists would've been up in arms about that too.

New one today - they'll fine the parents of those not turning up for their 'mandatory volunteering' - which is a clever one, as the people in question are FUCKING ADULTS themselves. Give me strength. I think conservative central office knows they are going down and so are having bets amongst themsel...

I hope that pilot of that boat summoned his best Jim Carey impression and said "like a glove" immediately afterwards.

Re: Petrol Honda mowers

Ah, I think my Dad has that one! I persuaded him to bin the electric flymo and get a proper mower for his long garden that would be less hard to push. She looked amused and exasperated 😂 Huh? She's in a household with FOUR mowers, what has she got to feel exasperated about? She's living the dream!

Re: Your fleet running reports

Yup, cruise by itself is pretty useless unless on an empty road. Proper adaptive is where it's at. Mine seems to work pretty well too, I can't complain. And it'll close gaps and gather speed depending on what driving mode you're in too, so if you're set at 70 but stuck behind someone doing 50 then a...

However, the F1 is just too special to ignore. I'm just the F1 generation. Therefore, that is my choice.

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..

I'd probably describe myself as socially liberal and fiscally conservative, with a very small c. Unfettered capitalism is bad, essential services should be in public ownership (rail, buses, water, etc etc) but I'd like to see more ambition from Starmer. He should talk about bring Thames Water back i...

Re: Flightradar24 fans

Hey @IanF , help me understand. I understand that during turbulence the plane could fall and people would be weightless, but in so many of these stories you hear of people hitting the plane roof with force, as if the plane is being 'pulled' down faster than gravity. What gives?

New favourite since my post above is Tesco 35 day dry aged Ribeye. Thicker than their normal cut and sooo juicy. Absolutely fab on the BBQ.

Signed thousands of death warrants for political prisoners according to the BBC feed. Hopefully it was a particularly drawn out death. Yeah, if you are at all of a human nature I suggest you don't read about the mass executions he signed off on, including of children. Hope Raisi barbecued well afte...
