Re: Car Hire Lottery

Just like the E90 BMW 325i with the same 3.0 6-cyl engine as the 330i but artificially restricted in the ECU - some people seem to think it's just coded such that it only ever gives 70% throttle. E81 125i was a gem in that respect. Same as the R50 Mini One IIRC the rover 214i was the same. Pegged b...

Re: People (Office)

They closed our base office in Surrey back in late 2020 (not Covid related, but rather T+A studies over the years proving that we were using it less and less), so when they closed it they offered everyone either a WFH contract or a London office contract. I think 98% chose WFH as we were spread far ...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Agreed on all of that, but I'd also suggest that the cyclist has been cycling on the pavement, then on a pavement crossing over to the start of the cycling lane. Anyone know whereabouts this is?

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

If you look at the cycle lane coming the other way, it looks like it stops where it reaches this crossing - likely just a pedestrian crossing? And I think therefore the cyclist was riding on the pavement, then crossed the road, and the pedestrian didn't expect to get hit by a cyclist at the START of...

I used rated people last weekend to find an emergency plumber when Dad had a leak under the bath. Very good response on there.

All women are mental in the end. I just had a "conversation" with my mrs about the humidifier we have. My little boy has chicken pox and is struggling to sleep, so we're trying everything that helps when he's ill. One of them is the humidifier. She can't get it working, I'm watching her r...

I'd like to see a genuine waiting list, rather than the $100 refundable deposit nonsense. How many people have committed proper (non-refundable) cash to buy one?

Re: Your fleet running reports

Is it possible for a wheel bearing to go bad without the usual symptom of the noise changing when swerving? I'm running out of ideas on what else it could be on the Model 3. It is a roller bearing rather than tapered bearing if that makes a difference. Can't really spin the wheel by hand at any sor...

Amazing. The first thing I'll do if/when I land a proper fast car is definitely NOT give it full send on a public road in the first tank of fuel. How do these people even manage to dress themselves in the morning?
