Re: 2023 Events - what's worthwhile?
Went to Elite (🙄) event at Booker Airfield today, was a bit miss-sold as it was mostly aircraft and golf equipment, with very little automotive interest and no supercar driving (which was why I went). Nice to look around some aircraft but it was a static display and so not really that interesting. S...

Lunch at The Coach today in Marlow, one of TK’s many establishments that has one Michelin Star. Love sitting at the bar and watching the chefs work! The great thing about this place is walk ins are promoted, and in fact if you want to have breakfast there, is the only way to get a table.. suits my c...

I know this as I bought it by accident when they rebranded the 5.5 full fat stuff from Clwb Tropicana to Clwb Tropica, and the non alcohol to Tropica NA, by and only found out after I drank eight cans and didn’t buy anything..
Re: Beer Fred
I’ve moved onto Neck Oil for the summer.. light enough and not too strong. £6.70 in my local, so saving 30p per pint compared to my previous favourite Guinness, so every 23rd is free!
Re: Food Fred
Double Red Duke. One of our families' favourties. My 8 year old demands we go for breakfast each time we're up in Oxford  Kioku sounds good. We recently went for the Beijing roast duck at Imperial Treasure - would recommend but need to try Min Jiang as well at some point. Good lad! Had a dirty...

Sorry for stealing a field that @gavster is eminently more qualified for, but we need a restaurant recommendation list in here. I went to Kioku by Endo last week in Raffles.. loved driving my rental Golf in and having it valet parked, but I’m weird so.. back to the food. Service, views, food, 70 sak...

Uber Black: Ar$e reviews of back seats
I’ve been using Uber Black a lot recently and I’ve come to the sad realisation that bright lights and temp controls really can’t compete with good, soft but supportive, rear seats.. the Mercedes E-Class has a terribly bench style seat in the rear, whilst the Audi A6 is actually more comfortable and ...

Re: New Merc C63 AMG
I can't see any situation where a company downsizes and then back tracks under current legislation. It's not like they moved to phev for the performance benefits. Isn’t that what Porsche did with the Coxster?.. Think there are discounts for most new cars these days. And even JLR has moved away from...

Looks like trackers use GPRS, so 2G or 3G only..
This article talks about it being turned off by 2033, but offers no assistance for systems such as ecall that use 2/3G..

I'm sorry to say that even Mercedes seem to use a tea cup for their tea break alert: https://di-uploads-pod7.dealerinspire.com/mercedesbenzofgreenwichredesign/uploads/2019/02/ATTENTION-ASSIST-e1544493276422-3.jpg It may be that's how they serve their Jagermeister in Germany of course. That looks li...

Re: Car Hire Lottery
Hired a Golf.. it’s a 21 plate, has done 62000 miles and I’ve used half a tank (ish) driving it around 250-300 miles over the last 10 days.. it’s great to get in a car that doesn’t need charging every few minutes. Hopefully this new-fangled tech will catch on!.. 😉 It’s a very nice cabin tbh, apart f...
