Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

First one is an overreaction and second, the LR really didn’t need to make such a manoeuvre and must have seen the cyclist beforehand , but the cyclist needs to remember that they’re not invincible so a look back when pulling into another lane would be beneficial.

Re: Forum Roll Call

More fundamentally, this is a car forum and those aren’t cars. If we’re doing “things our employer provides in order for us to do our job” there’s going be all kinds of crap on this list. As long as you drive it, go ahead! There are also bikes on people’s lists.. But, in the spirit of it was a joke...

Re: Forum Roll Call

@IanF are they really yours? Is a leased car yours? Are you saying you're paying the leasing costs on three large commercial jets? If you do, I'll agree they can stay on the list. No, but I’d argue this is a what do you drive list, otherwise there’d be myriad lists of finance free, bought but owe t...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Work started today. Scaffold went up this morning, and early afternoon the builder showed up, starting to mark out what needs cutting out. https://gallery.ov9.co.uk/images/2024/04/24/20240424_172623.jpg He's started on the cutting. So far he's not found anything horrendous, fingers crossed that con...

E36 - IMG_2851.jpeg Also the Jaconeli F1 drove by me near the Gloucester Rd on Thursday and sounded great (I was in my car on a teams call, so couldn’t take a photo) on the way to Salon Prive I assume, where I was meant to be but got caught up with client meetings. I went on Friday, was a fun, low ...

So, you know, there's that.
It’s also incorrect.. Turbo S is (US method) 2.2 seconds

Kind of related.. Edward Lovett on Collecting Cars podcast was stopped by police recently as he didn’t have a front number plate on. The police told him he better hope this is the first time he’s been stopped as for a second offence the dvla will now reclaim your (typically private and bought a big ...

In related news the Fiat 500 has been killed off due the same cyber vulnerabilities.. but don’t despair! Fiat is now going to put a petrol engine in the 500e which is typical leftfield Italian thinking 👌😎

They were pushing these quite hard in an Apple Store in the US. I asked if there were any games out for it yet and they said no, just productivity apps.. think that’s the first time they’ve had to push selling a new Apple product

Re: BBQs

I’m in the market for a decent quality Charcoal BBQ but the choices are really limited. There are the ceramic types, well north of a grand and you’ve got your Webber’s (but I already have one of those) An absolute must have feature is a coal rack or a cooking rack that’s height adjustable but as I ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Just passed 10k in the Kuga, averaged 81.7 MPG overall since I've had it, no creaks, rattles or issues, it's been a superb car, I'd certainly recommend one as a family car. Massive boot, loads of space in the car, great seats, stereo, and it even manages to be quite fun to drive. If I ordered again...
