Tony Martin Pt2

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-68942085 Farmer was not fucking around. And sounds like they found out. But suspected murder? They've arrested the injured for suspected burglary....so on that basis, he planned for them to burgle his house so he could kill them? Be interesting to see...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Over a year since I sold the 4C and I'm still without a replacement. (sidenote - if you or any of your cool friends want a nice 4C, you can buy my old one! ClickyLink ). I'm also back on the 2v1 car debate now I'm back down to about 6k/year. I like the idea of just having one nice, do-it-all car (li...

Re: V8 Vantage hire experience

I followed this guys thread on PH for a while. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=47&t=2010189 The spacers and slightly lowered ride height make for subtle but really nice improvement to the overall look. Those seats as well 8-) £40k gets you into a 4.7...fair bit more than ...

If you're buying a 355 it had better be blue with a tan interior!

Re: V8 Vantage hire experience

I looked at them briefly...but suprise suprise, the bills can be outrageous. That guy who had a £15k bill on Pistonheads was enough for me. The 4.7 I believe is better if you can stretch.

I'd be tempted to sacrifice everything I own for the V12, mind.

Don't read the replies first as they give it away. I was like "yeah, all looks a bit too quick and risky, but not seeing anything massive....." and then..... :o  :? https://twitter.com/ES_News_/status/1784946654346432769 Jesus, that framerate. Was this taken by someone holding down a...

Re: Your fleet running reports

You're all wrong and the answer is a VW Up GTi. There's a reason I've owned mine for 5 years when I barely keep any longer than 2, and people like Autopap on Twitter who changes cars like they're going out of fashion and who claims it's "more fun my 992"

Looks good in white - and a big fan of tan seats.

But for 50k? Too many other options I'd take instead.

Re: HMRC Automated Phone System

It doesn't always correct itself, that's the problem - I was getting taxed an extra £250/month as they'd put me on emergency tax. I figured I'd just deal with it until the new FY and my P60 and/or year end rolled and they realised I'd been over taxed, but no. Also, I did note they mentioned "If...

Re: FTAO: Sparky people/RichB

Small devices like monitors and docking stations use very, very little electric and you'll probably find that the time/kit investment to turn these on/off reliably outweighs any savings on electric. For PC's, configure sleep settings and WOL for the morning. Bigger issue we used to have was staff le...

Re: HMRC Automated Phone System

Yeah they've put me on emergency tax as they think I've got 2 jobs, so I had to call them up. Spent 15 mins going through all the preamble, questions and just when I was going into the queue I got "Sorry. We're having technical issues, call back later" THEN TELL ME THAT AT THE START! :evil...

Giulia QV, in proper Tri-Rosso Red. I think it's the first I've ever seen on the move, only ever seen parked up out and about. They look fantastic on the move, and sound good too. Amazing how many RS/M/AMG cars you see relative to these, certainly where I am. I keep meaning to arrange a test drive b...

Well dealer cars are now at £64k so you'd easily get private examples under £60k on the basis the p/x is mid-50's and no doubt they'll keep sliding.

I'm still on the Honda-E forum, and even the fanboys ("I only had to stop 4 times to get to my destination! It's part of the adventure!") are warning people about some of the expensive faults that can occur and the warranty being essential (repeated door handle failures (£1k at dealer), s...
