Re: Anti Virus Software

On top of Win10's built in, I do occasionally run a quick Malwarebytes check on top of that (free version) to check those nooks and crannies that Win10 might not look at.

As always, use a browser with an ad-blocker plugin too.

Late to it but really, really enjoyed Ford vs Ferrari. Shame I didn't get to see it at the cinema.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Took my Dad out in the Up last weekend - first time he'd been out in it. He wasn't impressed with its 'basic' trim and build, but I did explain it was only £13k new, and it won't compare to his £25k T-Roc. "It's not a bad little car, if you want a cheap runabout and aren't fussed about street cred" ...

Re: The Movie Thread

Bad Boys 3 was great - pretty much 2 hours of Martin Lawrence yelling "Oh shit!" but for entertaining action, it's hard to beat. And Reggie is in it! Birds of Prey is properly average at best. I've no idea what the reviewers were watching, and none of us agreed it deserved the score it's getting. M...

Re: The EV Apocalypse

I'd have bought an e-UP, I only do 30-40 miles a day so it's pretty much perfect, but at £20k, it's significantly more than the £13.5k of the GTi - if you even consider them comparable, as it's more in line with the standard models, so it's £10k more. At what point do you consider the cheaper fuel c...

Re: Public Sector Application forms

20 years of a civil service pension would top up the pittances I have from previous jobs. Provided you don’t top yourself from frustration working in the public sector ;) Out of interest how much better are the pensions? Source: Work in the public sector. It's full of lazy, clock-watching, "not my ...

Not that anyone really cares but my Ioniq Electric arrived today, currently trickling juice from my house so I can travel further than 30miles from my home (it arrived with 67miles range left.. thanks Holdcroft). I think the new forum title needs to be "The Thrill of Charging" with so many rolling ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Leaf blowers come in handy for cleaning purposes in such a scenario. You'll have to excuse the obvious innuendo, but surely you should be sucking, not blowing? Wouldn't a blower just throw it all around the garage? Fine outside when you can just blow it into next doors garden, but not in your own g...

My Elise does not do this....
I can sell you a solution to this. Special forum price for you.

Refurb is coming along - you appear to have lost 0.01kg in rust/filth from the underside, so it all counts.

Re: People that don't eat the knobby

I’m a northerner and I call them crusts and have never heard the term knobby. I assume it’s some Yorkshire aberration. Nope - crusts in my part of Yorkshire. Must be a midlander thing :D I'm from East Midlands, and that's definitely crusts too. West Midlands - Crusts checking in....into the bin!

Re: Exige 001

Just went to their site.....£45k! I'm sure David was after a lot less than that, but as a collectors car I'm sure it'll have it audience.

When I had the Evora serviced he was working on a yellow S1 Exige. They just look FG from every angle. I'll take mine in cobalt blue. With a Honda. And working AC.

XBox Game Pass

This is mainly for the PC, but guess it applies to the main XBox too. It's been an absolute gaming-changing bargain for me. Paid £2 for 2 months, plus got a bonus month for turning on recurring. Then I got 3 months (+1 for re-enabling recurring) with my new CPU. In that time, I've probably burned th...
