Re: Decent car YouTubes

I have a driving day booked in Wales in June which feels a long way off right now, enjoyed watching this.

Kwikfit making driving videos?

And it's a very odd mix of cars. Rowbottom stating he's in the "best product for this type of road" isn't even true across those three cars, let alone ...

Not a car - but this is stunning. Wondering if the Fezza is included in the price of the house?

Re: Today’s want

This got me thinking of the Brera, I remember sitting in a new one at the Dudley dealership. It still looks great and I’d have a Q4 over the pro drive or a similar engined GT, even though both are better drivers cars.

Also has the same £760 road tax

Dave!
Milage blocker companies loving this news. Still surprised how common this is, but even more so now the potential cost savings could be huge if you fit one.

Re: Any Sparky's in the house

Mine was similar when I moved in - got an electrician in to replace it, ended up condemning the whole house and completely rewiring...so, be prepared for that  £1500 all in though, as I'd gutted the house anyway back to brick so easy done. Alas, this was nearly 15 years ago, so probably more ...

Re: Dan’s car

Listening to this week’s Chris Harris and Friends podcast, he clearly referred to Dan’s car as a kit car (not mentioning Dan by name) before being more complimentary. Thought that was rather mean!

I saw it on Dan's IG feed when he corrected Harris - he could have used a better term, but I don't ...

I did the same with the spare - saved me twice now from roadside punctures!

Before fitting the archliners, check the fuel filler surround - these were notoriously rusty due to the lack of arch liners and all the crap getting stuck there.

Re: Decent Recent TV

Witcher Season 4 is pretty poor. Liam Hemsworth is actually a decent replacement for Henry, but the writing is just dire. None of the conversation feels real, the acting is largely wooden...Sharlto Copley absolutely nails it though. His brief scenes are carrying the whole cast.

Re: How important is the "Right" spec?

2. One of the things I really liked about the VXR8 was that there were no options other than manuel/auto and Nav.... which was known to be crap. In saying that, I waited for a manual LS3 in anything-but-red.

I wanted white or blue, 6.2, Wortec, Manual.

I ended up with silver, 6.0, Walkinshaw ...

How important is the "Right" spec?

We live in an era of 100's of options, packs, and addons on cars, with various colours. Do you wait until the right spec you're after is for sale, or just have a range you're looking for that broadly ticks the box? Or just buy whatever is currently available?

I still remember buying my VXR8 in a ...

Re: Gaming 2023

SteamOS still has the huge hurdle of anti-cheat. If it could overcome that somehow, I reckon many, many people would ditch Windows as an OS and switch. Alas, too many games at the moment rely on it witch cripples its range.

The thing that makes me slightly uneasy about Steam Machine 2 is that "4k ...

Capitalism, marketing, FOMO, gullubility......all that.

People love all this shit. Hear people at work talking about it now. "I'll wait until black Friday week" when the fact is most of it has already been on sale at that price, and will be again.
