Re: For the FTAO of Sim racing folk

Nothing against Rory personally, and I don't have an issue with YT'ers earning big money from advertising and sponsorship....but I'll still never understand people throwing money at streamers mid-stream. For 90% of people, these streamers are earning significantly more money than you....why are you ...

Re: The Weather Thread.

It's actually worse round here now that yesterday; it was only snow which was getting cut through easily and largely slush underneath...now that's all frozen and my main road is like an ice rink. I've not seen anyone go out yet!

I do miss the era of everyone having slow cars though.....now everyone has Ferrari power in a hatchback with added distractions and feelings of invunerability due to aids.

That 1.3 Endura engine was fucking awful though  it was all noise, vibration and no power.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Ordered some Kumho (which I'll continue to pronounce coo-mo) Ecsta Sport PS72's which have got some decent reviews in recent tests. Fitting Friday.

I couldn't get hold of any Rainsport 5's, which are my primary choice, and PS5's are needlessly expensive for a city runabout, so should be decent ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Ordering new tyres for the Up, and putting the OEM alloys back on. Frustratingly, the Rainsport5 seems to have massively increased in price recently; I was seeing them for £80/corner, now over £100. Still, seems like the best value compared to the EagleF1s and PS5's for general day to day.

As the ...

Re: 2025 review / 2026 plans

Regarding car plans, I'm kinda stumped. The QV was a massive disappointment for me, although I think it was more on my side than the car. I've been tucking money away for the last 10 months and the Emira is now achievable...but I'm not sure there's much point and whether I want that much money ...

Re: What happened to EFCPOTY?

Appparently I got the title wrong, it should be FECPOTY. But in light of recent news, seems it should be FECOTY.

I'd ask the Pollmaster to create a poll, but not sure it's needed :!:

I mean, it's been purchased this year....so should be for this year? The rules are fairly fluid....we had Duncs' down for 2023 and he didn't even purchase a car in 2023

It seems a no brainer, but does it qualify a 2025 purchase?
Wasn't it a 2013 purchase?

And IIRC it has to be a purchased car, not a built one. I didn't make the rules.
