Re: Family holiday location in the UK?
North west coast of Wales has some stunning beaches, is closer to Scotland, and cheaper / quieter. Could be a good shout. This would get my vote. Somewhere on the Llyn Peninsula like Abersoch. Loads of beaches, close to Snowdonia, and plenty of castles for when it inevitably rains. We go to Porthma...

Re: FAO Compact Fans
Pretty sure those seats aren't original Wheels definitely not. If I was going pre-facelift, I would be aiming for that purple colour with a zany interior. That's more than I paid for mine 6 years ago. Should be on 68s not 97s I wouldn't want an auto one really - even Monkey thought it spoilt the ca...

Re: Your fleet running reports
When it was being built the parts of the MK1 all looked pretty ugly in my eyes but as a package, that is incredibly cool 8-) Dave! reminds me of one of the Kamei ads in Performance Car mid 80s More so parked with my friends Saph! https://i.imgur.com/c61NGLa.jpg Wheels might be changed soon, I can’t...

Enjoyed watching it but I still prefer the old stickshift 997 one in the Juke R vid although it's a slowcoach in comparison

Re: Jay Leno’s Garage - 288 GTO
I reckon mainly the tyres, the GTO is on skinny 255s and the F40 on 335s. I imagine on shit period tyres it couldn’t put all it’s power down till it got in 3rd. Yep, F40 has 20% more power and 335s I think just more rear rubber on a 288 GTO would get it near 10 seconds. An extra 80bhp for the 288 G...

Re: Jay Leno’s Garage - 288 GTO
I think it's a combination of what a few people have mentioned Was reading the Roger Bell review of it in CAR magazine from the mid 80s and he reckoned getting max acceleration sub-100mph was a constant matter of restraint. Seems to be fair to say it was a sub 1200kg ready to drive as R&T weighe...

The taxi has arrived at the dealership. Should've been last week for collection Sat but will now be this Sat coming. http://gallery.ov9.co.uk/images/2019/03/26/IMG-20190325-WA0001.jpg In 330 news, it threw a low battery warning for the key today but only once. Then on the way home it threw a headli...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Standard sizes are 195 65 15 on the 6.5in steel wheels and 205 60 15 on the 7in alloys. If I was keeping mine I was eyeing up some 185 70 15 winters for next year. It was very good on 205 section all seasons last winter. I run 205s on mine a lot of the time https://i.imgur.com/z1C2faa.jpg 205/55 x1...
