This is a bad day to be hung over!
I suspect it's a bad day to have just shaved your head for the first time in your life.

I'm gonna have to put sunscreen on my bonce, aren't I?
You could try wearing a Beany hat?

She said go ahead when they offer half price cars on certain days of the week like they are with meals to stimulate the restaurant industry... :(

Re: Your fleet running reports

My car will be 6 in October - easily the longest I've ever owned a car. It desperately needs to be replaced by a GTS 4.0 but I still haven't managed to convince 'er indoors yet... Wish me luck. ;)

Staying loosely on the F1 theme, has anyone else noticed how lovely Claire Williams eyes are? The fact that she is wearing a mask now just draws more attention to them. I'll get me coat...

Re: Car washed whilst in for a service?

In previous scenarios i have left a "do not wash" note on the wheel. Dont want someone with a bucket full of grit n salt to rub it into my paint. OCD  Nottingham Porsche Centre always offer to wash the car after servicing but I ask them not to. We've compromised now, and they detail the inter...

Re: No F1 thread?

I was just thinking that if Hamilton were to win this years championship, and Kimi and Vettel were to retire at the end of this year he would have been the only driver with a championship on the entire grid. But Alonso as usual has ruined that! Wonder if there’s ever been a grid with only 1 champio...

Re: Talk me out of buying a car

Is a boxster particularly noisy then? I should get a Harry M phone app and check the decibels. You get a combination of engine blare (70mph in 6th is 3000rpm), tyre noise and wind buffeting the cloth roof. It's fine but it just gets wearing after a while. Look out for a hardtop for in the week and ...

Re: New Car (Shonky Lotus Content)

Looks great Duncs, great colour too. Are you getting headlamp covers ? small number of 'compulsory options' :D which took the price over the mythical £20k mark, and mine was on the road eventually for just under £25k in 1997. Happy days. Enjoy yours. Interesting, with inflation that is about the sa...

Re: New Car (Shonky Lotus Content)

The S1 looks so timeless. Lovely little things. I remember Lotus taking out adverts in the magazines for them when they were just £20k on the road. Congratulations Duncs on your wise purchase and baby to be. As far as an original price of sub £20k you are right that they advertised that. I had my d...

Re: Senna - 1 Year in

Not quite accurate. My grandfather owned a late 60's RR, the reason you send you luggage ahead by rail is you will also eventually arrive by rail after your RR "fails to proceed" Happened often then? I’ve heard some stories about RR trying to keep people happy after a failure. All the time. H...

Re: Senna - 1 Year in

The guy I knew who won the lotto never carried luggage for trips over a few days - He would courier his luggage directly too and from the hotel. In the 1960s an American chap unfavourably compared R-R silver Cloud luggage capacity with his Cadillac. The R-R rep quietly pointed out that a gentleman ...
