I’m convinced they’ll go supersonic and beat the current record.

I will be most delighted if they make it into 4-figures.
I'll be even more delighted if they make it back out of 4-figures.

Toyota Supra

Having only seen photos of them until this morning I was hoping that the new Supra would be an example of something that photographs badly but looks good in the metal... As a theoretical future customer I really wanted to like them, but they are even fuglier than I thought possible. I know beauty is...

Re: Bristol bans diesels

Aye, internal combustion engines are incredibly inefficient. They have been efficient at getting me interested instantaneously since I was a small boy, whereas FEVs have been around over 10 years and I haven't even sat in one yet. Might make an exception for the next model Cayman if rumours are to ...

I presume youre taking the kids Dave so rules this out. We hired a 125 vespa when there was really good fun https://www.viavespabarcelona.com/ Yeah, taking the kids. We did the GoCar thing last time which was fun. We could rent 2 to bomb around in. https://www.barcelona.de/images/go-car-tours/48025...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Sold the Bora though Gumtree to a trader up north. That website is...interesting. The fact that I can happily knock £500 off a car in a private sale, or splash £150 on a night out, and I'm scrabbling around dealing with "gve phne number plx" messages on a shitty website to get an extra £100 for an ...

Proper Porsche warranty at £600 a year is really reasonable.
Do you still have to have the tracker for insurance?
I haven’t thought about it really, because with it fitted my premium was under £500 last year. I test them once a year and their response is immediate and professional.

Re: Expensive week

Then I started a very casual conversation with the sales team about the 'not quite announced' 4 litre N/A Cayman GTS... That sounds interesting. I can't see many people opting for a non-GTS if the GTS gets the 6cyl and the base and S models have the farty blown four pot. He didn't say it was 6cyl, ...

Re: Expensive week

Amazes me you still need to pay for a 111 point check to extend an existing warranty. I mean, any faults will have been covered anyway. But then, after investigating the OPC servicing/pricing and speaking to other owners when I was looking at Cayman's a while back, the Porsche network/OPC seemed a ...

Merc quoted me £1300 a year for extending the warranty the GLA45 so that sounds quite reasonable given all the other stuff done and that its a porsche
The 111 point check cost £216, then 2 years of warranty was £1190. Not too bad really, compared with yours.

How's your track record with common sense car purchases?
I do think of Porsche Caymans as practical 3-door hatchbacks if that helps. In the past though, it's worth noting that I've owned 6 cars that didn't have doors and one that didn't have a windscreen.
