Re: Coronavirus

I see lockdown has been cancelled at the seaside. Here's the view from my parents' house today, the playing field that's used for overflow parking. My parents are in their seventies, and although they're not 100% self-isolating, they are genuinely scared to go out when there's this many people trav...

The 60-100 time is ridiculously slow 😂 Most of the time is spent going from 90-100. It definitely doesn’t suit my gearing, or lack of power.

Re: Coronavirus

I caught sight of that headline this morning @Foz and bookmarked it for later. Spoke with my folks who live further north and their GP says they’ve not seen any cases for over a month now and are hearing positive things about one of the vaccines being tested in Oxford at the moment. Vaccine was a l...

Re: Coronavirus

Everything I've read has said there's next to zero chance it could be man made so I doubt its been manufactured. Speaking to a friend who's daughter works in a lab in the UK I wouldn't be surprised if that message changes based on what I was told.. Will be interesting to see. To me it seems like th...

Re: Harry’s Garage

All about the monthlies, pretty much, the bag car manufacturers rely on huge volumes and have effectively become finance providers who happen to have a sideline selling cars, look at the crazy APR's on new vs approved used cars its "cheaper" to buy new..

Re: Harry’s Garage

Good vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVFJUxeGFAE Interesting, I do like his vids, very analytical! The big car manufacturers are in for a shock, vw tiny margins and huge volumes are completely at odds with the way the world is going! I do believe one of the big lot won’t be here in 5 years, the...

Go on, how much  £8,500. I had advertised it for a sniff under £9k (linky HERE if you want to be nosey, and yes, I was working through Porsche-related prices). He offered £8,400, I said £8,500, he said yes. He was even worse at haggling than I am  This hadn't been helped by the fact his m...

Sale agreed on the 530d (deposit taken, bank transfer tonight, collecting tomorrow). A very good car that never quite did anything interesting enough to endear itself to me. And the seats weren’t very comfy. 55AEB0AA-A635-4735-B027-E390917F7E00.jpeg Go on, how much  You're convinced everything...

Re: Coronavirus

Isn't it 3 weeks since the last extension now? My mind is blurring weeks into each other. If it is surely it's now time to start down the path trodden by the other countries so we can try and salvage what's left of these industries. Oil is never likely to be the same, even with Michael Moore trashi...
