All par for the course with job hunting and recruiters, unfortunately. I’m not currently looking but I’ve been approached a couple of times recently and dialogue has started then they vanish into thin air.
Good luck with the interviews.

Re: Another website & legalities question
I had the same issue with a jacket I bought online, approx ten years ago… The item that arrived was clearly an attempt at a cheap knock off that had no resemblance to what I ordered other than maybe the colour. The materials and size were completely different and they hadn’t even bothered to put a f...

GF bought a wind up radio last week for this kind of eventuality. I took the piss so she’s told me I’m not allowed to listen to it should the situation arise.

Re: Glastonbury 2023
I’ve not got around to watching any of it yet but the Prodigy will likely be the only one I’ll bother with. Maybe the Libertines if they’re on iPlayer.
I’ve not heard of the majority of the lineup.
In other news, the first Oasis gig is tonight

I saw a convertible Roma last night. The roof (up) design looked a bit shit, the way it met with the boot lid looked like a rush job.

Was passed on the M5 by a white E90 tailgating everyone. There was a huge dent down one side and the worst attempt at spelling ‘Gary’ on a numberplate you could imagine.

Re: Would you buy a Mat Armstrong car?
I like the bloke but he has some awful aesthetic taste sometimes. Questionable bits of bodykit, weird colour choices and non-standard wheels. I suppose ‘aspirational chav’ is his target audience though. For the money I’d rather buy something lesser but unmodified and straight. Quite a collection he’...

Re: New Router / Config Changes
Had the same issue with new router and Ring. I fiddled around between 2.4 and 5 (can’t remember which worked in the end) and it sorted it.
It’ll be done via the router admin page.

Semi-related, I’ve stopped going to a particular coffee place in town because I can’t get my finger through the handles on the mugs. My fingers are a normal thickness, I don’t know who these mugs are made for.

I’m surprised too. Lots of people commuting plus school runs. But I have zero knowledge on this and it’s Merv’s business so thanks for the info! Having pondered it I don’t think it’s a big problem for us due to WFH and travelling outside of rush hour if we do go into work. The school is actually wal...

Re: The House Projects Thread
You guessed correctly… It looks like the estate is actually split into two phases which aren’t linked of 2 x 175 houses. The one we’re looking at has its entrance/exit onto Shurdington Road and the saleswoman confirmed that it’ll be the only one and no traffic lights/roundabout. The second phase is ...

Re: The House Projects Thread
Been to look at a new build this morning. It’s the right size and location so looks promising but the access to the estate could be problematic. There’s 350 houses with only one road in and out of the development which comes out on to a main road with no traffic lights or mini roundabout, I’m concer...
