Re: People (Office)
I prefer being in office for management chats yeah, and most of my team are WFH full time so I just have to manage the less pro active ones a little more than the seniors. Pros and cons, like most things. They're providing lunches twice a week still, an early incentive that they seem happy to prolon...

Re: Coaster/YK
A year has passed since YK left us. Just thought it worth a note here.
I lost a colleague at work recently too, big C got him after a long time trying to fight it last year.

I remember these mad machines back in the day, and being awestruck at the numbers.
Re: Parking
Made all the more important now my main car is lwb and a nightmare to reverse in tight spaces. LWB compared to the Civic maybe ! And reversing is easier - you use your mirrors and can see exactly how much space you have either side. Longer than anything I've had prior yes, and not a great turning c...
Re: Parking
It's just easier reversing in. I don't get why anyone would choose to go in forward unless the space is in line with the direction you're driving (like at the end) or you need access to the boot. This for me. Made all the more important now my main car is lwb and a nightmare to reverse in tight spa...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
The red LR was completely in the wrong there, I use that road regularly and it's always blocked by parked cars/causes these issues. The LR has not long come out of the 20mph zone either. The LR knew damn well the cyclist would block a clean pass for a hundred metres or so, so he's rushed it, and we ...
Re: EV Thread
Repair costs were a factor in me getting a fresh lease instead of buying a 3yr old Niro LR, I'm not that brave just yet.
Re: EV Thread
I looked at the Buzz when I was looking for my next EV, some good deals pop up which were tempting but the same concerns come up, range isn't huge, efficiency not great (not terrible either tbh) and it's a bit slow. My Ioniq6 has same battery size and it's commonly accepted it'll do 300+ miles all y...

It'll be cool display but I doubt a very interesting build, if that's your thing.

Re: “Black Edition”
BMW Motorrad do "Triple Black", which is wot Tim and myself have with our respective motasickles.
It's black with some grey bits, so not even all black.
And it costs extra

Re: Parking space widths
My Ioniq6 doesn't fit length wise into any parking spaces yet, never mind width. It feels like I'm driving a limo about. Ioniq6 Dimensions: 4,855 mm L x 1,880 mm W x 1,495 mm H UK Parking Guide: "When assessing the area needed for staff and customer parking, it should be noted that the current ...

Re: Bright light, bright light!
Fun fact about motorcycle rear lights, my BMW uses the "indicators" as the rear light (no central main light cluster). Looks odd, confuses people but no-one has run into the back of mine yet..

Re: FTAO EV owners - possible action required before end of March-24
Just picked my new EV up, and this probably explains one of the reasons it's a fairly cheap lease, they'll avoid this tax change

Re: Baltimore Bridge Collision
Pilot usually boards the ship and takes control for leaving/entering port. Word is they had two on board.
As above though, if power goes off you're left with whatever old school methods you can muster, like crash drop anchor.

Re: Baltimore Bridge Collision
My mate left the job a couple years back, diagnosed with Complex PTSD and anxiety. Stressful job that, I do feel for everyone involved. Modern ships are parred down to worrying levels, single screw, no bow thrusters, all in the name of efficiency/emissions. He's had concerns over the automation of s...
