Re: Lego

Not a bad effort at all no, and Technic is very hard to balance between getting the silhouette right and faking with stickers. I'd want to work on the front area perhaps, but still cool.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Part of me enjoys other people's reactions to stuff like this too.

I see it as a reliable shopping trolley for when I can't use a bike, plus this'll carry the mountain bike/canoe/tent easily. And no more anxiety about parking either.

Side bonus, if it hangs around long enough, my niece is ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

After pontificating for far too long about what car to get next, I ran out of time as the lease Ioniq6 was collected in late March and left me with nothing. Picked up a '16 plate Jazz yesterday for some cheap plain wheels while I figure out what I want to do.

£35 VED and 50mpg+ claimed, so that's a ...

Re: FTAO EV owners - what brake "maintenance" do you perform?

Never had an issue on the three I've had, I just make sure I give it a hard brake (push through any regen) once in a while. Also noticed it'll always use the brakes in reverse.

Re: The forum Where are they now? Thread.

I bumped into Rev last weekend, he happened to drop in a bike track day at Oulton where I was supporting for a mate of mine.

Broccers active on X and Insta, I see him commenting on investment bots and the like.

ETA - the squeegee chap was the only time I've had to deal with Manheim and it felt like he was incentivised to find something.

This was Manheim today, and he used a squeegee to clear some overnight rain off the roof (I cleared the rest of the car but the roof was still frosty before he ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

@Barry can you find a cheap used EV now? I guess 'cheap' is relative, it'll probably still be £15-20k for something in good condition.

You can get the eNiro for that price range yeah, just wary of being out of warranty while these cars prove themselves out. The EV repair industry still feels ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

People really are cvnts.

Ioniq6 went back today, the inspector was very thorough, picked up on the small repairs on bumpers easily, and flagged some v minor corrosion on two of the diamond cut wheels, says Hyundai will try to charge for those being repaired (dafuq - its manufacturing failure not ...

Re: Lego

The Schumacher F1 car is a nice build, quickest I’ve ever built one. Disappointing that they are still making the wheels same size front and back.

Why did they do that, when the Mansell car had the wider wheels?!

Also, really liking the DC-3

Re: Lego

The adult Lego world does seem overly fanatical, but Lego are clearly capitalising while they can.

That said,I just don't get these new play brick sets, expensive and not actually much better than the usual sets tbh. Not including a brick in every set is just rude too.

You can set the angle of dangle with these Abba lifts, all pretty versatile really. I keep pondering a standard bike lift, Machine Mart keep doing their VAT free deals..
