There's only one thing for it, FIIIIGHT. Or another wobble round at 7/10ths trying our best not to drop the nice bikes 😁

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

I think that was the last properly warm day we've had Rev 😂 Toying with trying to get a late summer track day in but I just don't trust this weather.

Edit: where's best to upload pictures to these days, Imgur being a PITA.. I want to add that Ducati pic I took, think some will appreciate it.

Work colleague recently bought a Coleman air tent, he was very impressed. I always buy Vango, they just work and don't leak.

Re: People not looking when driving

Glad your dad is ok of course but you can't assume anything on a bike, I try not to ever get caught alongside a car during a roundabout, they do the most random things and you have very little room to do anything about it if you're alongside.

Indeed, they take it quite seriously if parts are missing by all accounts. It's called "customer service" or something. I can't recall having a part genuinely missing, like Jobbo said, it's usually a mis-build earlier on.

No, really.

And yup, injuries from the stampede, although minor.
That is amazing, for so many reasons

I flirt between sensible and not so sensible these days:

Skoda Superb V6 AWD DSG estate/1.8tsi

S2000/BoxsterS 3.2/Z4

Or just get a silly barge (Jag XF) and write the costs off.

Or just buy another bike and wait for the Civic to drop dead and go EV.

Re: Another mass shooting in America

Just seen this little snippet on bbc news: “More than a dozen US states have passed laws to remove firearms from mentally unstable gun owners. But some sheriffs claim the laws violate the Constitution and refuse to enforce them.” Some people are asking to be shot  Sounds like the Sheriff's ar...

Re: Another mass shooting in America

I don't give a fuck. They won't do anything to stop it happening so why waste my time feeling sorry for them? ^^Unfortunately this, as I was discussing at breakfast. Texas too, one of the easiest places to get a gun. All of the above. Where were all the gun owning winners during any of these shooti...

I'm sure it's a weapon but if I had £72k burning a hole it wouldn't be going on a fwd hatch, no matter how good it is.

Re: Decent Recent TV

I chuckled at the ending as it was true to character and a nice slap in the face to viewers who expected a happy ending. It was never going to end well, everyone said so throughout both seasons.. to expect otherwise makes you the one with the physiological problem, which I think was part of the plan...

He doesn't explain why helmets have increased levels but I will say that I lift the visor on mine as often as I can, mine has a chin curtain and I don't like how stuffy it gets. I don't like the turbulence without it either.. I should have more plants indoors though, I'm just too lazy to keep on top...

Re: Baggy Boxsters

I drove Phils Boxster at the EVO triangle, was quite impressed with the over all package but at the time was a little put off by the fact it didn't seem any quicker than my DC2. I get it now, having driven a few more Porsche #fanboy As part of my weekly AutoTrader sweep I contemplate Boxsters, then ...

My daily Shoei GT Air is due replacement, not sure if I want the new model or not, but I did find the same size difference when I tried one.

Drop down visor essential for me, takes the edge of early morning and evening low sun, useful in general sunny weather.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

so you’d be ok with your house value being revised to less than the mortgage you have on it? Of course not but that wouldn't be viable from the banks pov anyway, I'm just saying some sensible adjustment wouldn't be the worst thing. It won't happen unless the entire country crashes, I'm just making ...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Bringing house values more in line with salaries would actually help me move up the ladder too, as the bigger houses would lose more based on % values of course. And that frees up cheaper houses for the new wave of buyers. Everyone wins really, if you can get over the "loss" in equity we think we h...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Bought my first house in 2000, £53k on a salary of £21k. Sold same house in 2008 for £113k, salary was not much better. The equity and joint income were what allowed me to move up the chain. Contrast that now with his kids in my team earning similar to that first figure and looking to buy houses £20...

I've ordered the Harley anyway, it'll be a nice addition to the bike collection.

Ordered the car transporter too, as that'll go nicely with the Mack and racing truck #childishexcuses
