Re: Lego

I think it's a more cohesive silhouette than the GT3 to be fair, but I'll still struggle to justify the expense of it. I think it looks quite good.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

I'm WFH 9/10hrs a day so I have to grab chances when I can, tonights ride was my daily exercise/fresh air in fairness. Couldn't even be bothered dragging the Triumph out, the Fazer is the nearest/easiest to get to.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

It’s always fun to follow someone in a car that knows what they’re doing. It’s not fun being followed  Exactly that! 😁 All of the above, although I will say I can't remember the last time I encountered a car being driven well, let alone brisk enough to have some fun with. No bad thing I'll gra...

918 for me, CGT is lovely but the modern car just gets the nod from me.

Re: Electric scooters

I like any powered two wheeler so you've got me thinking about these now. When they say they're looking at relaxing the rules, does that mean we'll be able to use them on the road like a pushbike?

Tempting to get one before that happens if so, before the price mysteriously creeps up.

Well, that's me depressed (and impressed). Wonder what the fees are on this version
It’s free!!

(Until your product earns over $1m)
I'd hope anything we used it for would earn more than a mill dollar tbh

Re: Who has owned a Supra Turbo?

My mate still has his UK TT MKIV, running somewhere around 450hp when it was on the road. As said above, they're actually quite agile for such a big barge, and pretty rapid once you get rolling too. The crude TCS doesn't really do much either, the car just bogs till you get to 60+ and then hooks up ...

Re: Aches and pains

2 here I think, after my back spasm a couple of years back I find myself with regular stiff back first thing in the morning, which clears as soon as I move about. I do regular stretch/pilates and varied exercise to keep tabs on it. Suspect it'll get annoying as I get older or if I have to stop my ex...

Re: Your lockdown purchases.

Some adventure bike boots, on sale at 30% off, relative bargain considering their usual price. Kriega pouch to protect my tablet on trips (and cos I'm a Kriega junkie) Analogue tyre pressure gauge - cos I'm sick of faffing with the pen version, and don't trust the cheapo one on the footpump. Otherwi...

I think it was the Liverpool ones that kept catching fire. They've been gone a few years but we managed to do the tour before they got banned.
Wasn’t it the Liverpool ones which kept sinking?
Yeah, the whole episode was a dead duck.
I heard the bills were getting out of hand.

Re: Post Covid Plans??

Nothing too exciting other than getting out on all the bikes, giving the cars a run, and trying to book my next trackday for the CBR. Most of this summer will be trying to get this project in a box, I'll be taking a long break after this one I suspect. Got a few jobs around the house I want to sort ...

BBB was decent yeah, made me miss the K8 to be honest, it sounded so good in the vids. Pity the brake issue kept coming through, that Suzuki would have been a beast had Fagan been able to push it hard.

Yeah, the kill switch thing was funny. We used to switch lights off and buzz each other, in the dark lanes too.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Couldn't possibly say  We used to get away with murder back in the day didn't we, no wonder cameras were invented. We had a mate who was given his mothers house to "sit" for a year while she worked abroad. It was about six miles away, down back lanes. We used to call him up, then jump on the bi...

He's been doing daily tales during the lockdown, some corkers in there too. Only ever did little run n hide back in the day, on the 125s. You had to hide quick on those, they couldn't outrun the weather let alone a cop car.

Tiff talks through his families cars. I kinda feel bad that he isn't minted, he's been a decent racer and presenter for as long as I can remember. https://youtu.be/LrfTUO9Xbwc That looks like a pretty fucking nice house/grounds, I think he’s doing ok! In his situation, I also wouldn’t bother actual...
