So my ex mate who succumbed to the drink, left his wife n kids, ran away to his home town and shacked up with some bird, dragged his divorce out, and cut us all out of his life after sending pathetic messages blaming everyone but himself.
Found out today that his latest drinking escapade was too ...

Re: 2025 review / 2026 plans
2025 was a busy one at work, still finishing the current project off, so a few more months of stress. WBD buyout got us a little nervous too, Netflix don't care/want the games division, Paramount owners don't fill me with confidence either.

Re: Mental Health
I never stopped the daily VitD supplements, since COVID days. 2000 in summer, 3000 now. No medial evidence it helps but I sure feel a bit more stable mood in general.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
It's reinventing the wheel to my eyes, and adding complication and weight for no real gain? My flip front Shoei is dead simple to drop on, with one moving part and clamped either side.

Re: How important is the "Right" spec?
I'm at the point where I want some basics, and the less of everything else the better, as it's less to go wrong.
AC, cruise, heated seats, otherwise the less of the more modern nonsense the better.

BMWs have it, my XR1000 had it, and it needed a warranty fix within months. I'll take my chances.

Re: Gaming 2023
GTA slipping (again) certainly helps our plans for next year, I won't lie. Much as we're not a direct rival, GTA does tend to suck the oxygen out of the market when it drops.

Re: EV Thread
Must admit I do prefer the practicality 4drs gives, bigger cars carry it off better mind you.
Much as I'm a bit Marmite with my Ioniq6, I can see the appeal in the new N variant.. bit more aggression, and 2.5x the shove

Re: Bye Bye Rachel Reeves
Surely EVERY person who has an EV expects to end up paying road tax in some form sooner or later?
Of course but in my case it means paying the new VED rates and then this Per Mile charge, which adds hundreds to the annual costs in a short space of time. Just annoying when I'm getting rinsed ...

My current EV lease runs out in March '26 and I'm genuinely considering just buying a cheap shitter petrol while I wait to see what other taxes these cvnts come up with.

Re: Bye Bye Rachel Reeves
One of the more frustrating elements of this wallet raping is the higher band tax rate was paused and supposed to return to inflationary adjustments every year. I believe the Tories decided not to reinstate that too fwiw. Conveniently since then that's not been fixed, otherwise I'd safely sneak back ...

Re: Bye Bye Rachel Reeves
Impotent rant style, as a solo earner, above that threshold, and never claimed benefits, I'm getting more than a little fed up of being treated like an endless money pit to fix Gov. incompetence.
I'm certainly looking to where I can save money, reduce costs, which means,if others in my position do ...
