Re: Dogecoin etc
Sold 230 to buy some International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. ORD as they are on a bit of an upward trend. I thought they would start coming back last year but I think this could be a reasonable bet for a few months.
Another dividend share too, albeit a small one.

Re: Twitter
I don’t think he cares at all, I just think he wanted rid of the involvement of the FBI and advertisers directing what news should be let out.
A part of me thought he would give it 12 months and then remove it from existence.

I don’t know if people jumping out of the rental market is going to make people jump at shares or the fear he will start to tax assets and people will move to Switzerland or hide the money under the bed.
I don’t expect them to keep rising as they have done over the last year.

Re: Bye bye Starmer
We went to a James Concert at Chelsea (the old greenhouse, if I’ve got it right) and at the time they were advertising water in a can. A white can with black symbol of some sort. The advertising was young kids the morning after, drinking cans of water and acting like it was alcohol but it was ok as ...

Re: Bye bye Starmer
Fat isn’t unhealthy, it never has been, I don’t believe consumption of tallow, lard or butter negatively impacts people. When we started to eat processed things, the recommended cereals for breakfast, switching butter for margarines, breads with lots of extra ingredients, pastas etc then suddenly th...

Re: Exploding Pagers
I don’t know what to think about it either. I mean when your enemy hides behind women, children, civilians etc how can you fight a war against them otherwise. It’s like when the Taliban were holding up in hospitals and then baiting soldiers to attack. There are rules to be followed but you have to f...

Re: Bye bye Starmer
The NHS pick up needles for free, I had a tub full in a needle bin. They drove from Grantham to my house to collect it, one tub, 2 people. What an absolute waste of money. I’ve now found a chemist who will take them with no prior planning. Most local authorities have sharps disposal, but to be hone...

Re: Bye bye Starmer
The physio goes back to what Newt was saying about resources outside of hospital/emergency care. The funding within the NHS isn’t good so it’s hard to get appointments. I also occasionally use a private physio for old shoulder damage. Nothing to do with funding, my doctor said rest it and magic wil...

Re: Bye bye Starmer
tbf to Dave!’s doctor. There can’t be many healthcare professionals that would recommend an all beef diet  No, he spent 2 years saying I’m just getting old though. All my ailments are now gone and I’ve gone private because the local doctors simply didn’t care enough. The Mother in Law is hugel...

Re: Bye bye Starmer
Ive lost all faith in doctors now. Messed about, no help and they just said “you are getting older Mr Butler” and blah blah eat a salad. Apart from when I had shingles and my old doctor, Dr Sha being a sensible chap I’ve just been palmed off. The wife was the same and doing the opposite of what she ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
159,000 mile ML500 passed with colours flying so high, rainbows got a sore neck. Still looking a bit tatty. Emissions particularly low so I’m just using V-Power all the time now, I tried to convince that new E10 wasn’t making any difference but I just couldn’t get close to previous mileage numbers o...

Re: Cars buying vs leasing
It depends on what you are buying, the newest thing we have in the family that I chose personally is a 2016 car and everything has been bang on reliable. The worst was my ML but that’s down to 2 small faults that I was stubborn with and wanted the dealer to fix. Must be getting on for 300,000 miles ...

Re: Landlords and property investors
The rent will be £250 a month lower than others in our area, we know the tenant who wants to be there forever and we get a guaranteed good neighbour and a mortgage paid for. Dave! Sounds like you're just buying someone a house so that you can have a nice neighbour to me. ;) Although the value of ha...

Don’t forget the cavity wall insulation, that made most council houses in the 90s get damp and mould problems .

Re: Landlords and property investors
Maybe it’s not the people but the management agencies. I’ve only directly rented like twice. My current landlord argued so much over a £20 toilet part, I just bought and installed it myself. Management agencies seem to screw over both parties. Next door had some bloody awful people do work who were...
