Re: BBQs
Fired up the BBQ yesterday for the first time since Sienna was born. Just threw some Lidl Ribeye on it, and..... not good. TBH, of all the non-butcher meat we've tried, regular Tesco Ribeye is the best we've come across. 100% this. LIDL meat is junk, Morrisons near us is really poor. The only place...

Re: Menopause is now a disability (UK)
Believe this or not, I was at a party back in November and a very pretty early 20s girl asked my wife if she was my date as she wanted to say hi.
Clearly some girls like overweight and hairy as apposed to smooth and shiny

Re: Your fleet running reports
Aaaaaaaaaand my second set of actually warped discs, Brembo again but this set had done about 15000 miles. Cleaned them up, no pad transfer, clocked with a DTI and yep, 0.29mm of runout. Decided on genuine discs from Merc, £80 more for discs and pads but runout was 0.02mm and smooth as butter. I did...
Re: Running
Yeah I’d assumed he was doing the junior one  He’s getting some pace as well. PB so far is 30m45. I reckoned a month or so ago that he’ll be under 30 mins by the end of this year. I think I’ll revise that to some time over summer. Amazing given he’s the shortest in his class at 4’, running n...

Re: Menopause is now a disability (UK)
Does that make it less seedy? I'm not saying he has to go on a register or anything, just couldn't imagine dating someone 20 years younger myself. Like, early 20s folk look like kids to me now. Aslong as they act like an adult and are of age I don’t think it’s seedy at all. Whatever makes people ha...

Re: Menopause is now a disability (UK)
I think if I was the 41 that I am and I was attracting model Hollywood types then an equal childhood watching Thundercats wouldn’t be on the chat list. It would be all yachts, holidays and supercars. I’m pretty sure the women are doing it for mainly a bedpost tick and some great holidays, I doubt th...
Re: Bully XL
Has anyone been prosecuted for bad breeding or anything other than them not being registered or muzzled ?
It must have been horrific for everyone involved.

Funnily enough, throttles not opening fully was a bit of a Lotus problem at one point I believe.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I do mine every 9000 as I set it to fixed servicing. If I had a modern diesel I’d half the fuel filter interval and the same with the oil if I was doing shorter trips mainly.
You can get the oil sampled but that’s not cheap and oil and filters aren’t bad, especially cartridge style ones.

Re: Your fleet running reports
what else have you been "fixing"...? I think the standard reply to that kind of question is “your mum” ? :D It didn’t cross my mind they would be stretch bolts, I think I’ve only ever encountered those on cylinder heads. From googling they seem to be M10x30. I’ve got plenty of ordinary M1...
Re: Food Fred
I’m not sure of the long term affects of seed oils but if we cook in them I get joint pain after a couple of days. It doesn’t happen with tallow and animal fats but that could be a personal response. Also zero bloating even when eating silly amounts of meat. Removing all grains, wheat and “healthy” ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Stretch bolts are awesome at holding stuff together but also a pain. On our work stuff you measure the stretch of a new bolt to determine if the torque is enough. It really is clever on some parts. On the TT they use stretch bolts for the engine mounts. If you reuse them they are either already used...
Re: EV Thread
It’s a hugely emotional subject amongst Americans it seems and if they want to help the American economy then why wouldn’t they do it.
You certainly will never beat them on price otherwise.

Re: EV Thread
They are trying to protect their domestic product, why would anyone question that ? Hundreds of thousands of jobs and economies rely on the American car industry. I wouldn’t buy a Chinese purely as I don’t think a milliseconds thought will be given to the second owner. Which would be people like me....

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
The cheese tax is ridiculous, it’s the only thing that gets them in the garden for a wee if it’s raining haha. So I wanted to do it with Flash but never got round to it, much to my dismay. So on Monday I went for a touristy walk around London with Hutch. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/l4oevcfb49zoxk...
