Re: Your fleet running reports

First Vegans, then angry Vegetarians.

All other sensible veggies and general “let them be them” types will prosper in a food surplus and have BBQs and sing songs and harmony will flood the land.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Well, to be honest it would be nice to see solar all over supermarket / factory / warehouse roofs which is just dead wasted space instead of covering fields with it, but obviously there are logistic and structural issues with that which probably make it many times more expensive to install and main...

Re: Where to get (decent quality) impact driver bits?

Teng is good quality stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever had to buy new 8mm stuff, it’s never broken for me. Normal rules apply, sometimes it’s good to try and tighten it first to break the seal. Then you don’t risk damaging the driven side of the fastening when trying to get it to start moving. Dave!

Beany is correct. That looks pretty decent and Facom are a good brand, aren’t they? I think so. Rightly or wrongly I think of them as semi-professional, a step up from DIY grade. @V8Granite is my tool guru, I'd appreciate his opinion on this :) Facom are good, no issues with stuff at work. Also you...

When Marty is burbling by in a FUCKING BLACKED OUT LEXUS BATMOBILE then he won’t care who normally buys them 😎

Also, I bet heel and toeing is easily done in beige brogues.

Re: Dogecoin etc

If it was easy and/or reliable everyone would be doing it. There are more stories like DrCarloses than Dave!'s. I think if some people are very methodical, have specific rules they go by and keep a war chest then I can see how they do it. I also bet it takes a lot more work than it looks to “guess”...

He has his and her 911s and a lovely house. He now just buys and sells on dips and rises. And earns an incredibly good salary from that alone, high hundreds of thousands. Etherium and a few others that I forgot. I can probably find a few people who make a living from horse racing too - but whatever...

A friend of a friend lost 3 fingers on a yacht as a deckHAND (snigger) due to equipment failure. With his payout he bought Crypto. He has his and her 911s and a lovely house. Re: Your fleet running reports

To be fair though, 1 hour to do a full gearbox oil change is F1 car territory. My box took 20 minutes to warm up on the driveway alone and cleaning a good 10 minutes prior to even touching a bolt.

That’s on an old Merc 4 speed where you still have a torque converter drain plug.

I genuinely hope he has an extremely painful injury. He is a nasty nasty man and just creates conflict and anger.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I assumed the 5.5 hours is for the entire service ?

That gearbox oil price is laughable, there will be a huge markup on that.

Also, aren’t all cabin filters charcoal filters ? I’ve never had one that isn’t.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Fuck all that, any car like that instantly puts me off. I work with electronic products having random shit fits all day long so don’t trust much more than a Casio watch. There are lots of incredibly intelligent software people who tell me “you’re wrong it can’t do that” A week later telling me “oh o...

Re: Your fleet running reports

You f course it is, it’s a fun project and I was all for doing a cheap 996 till prices went up 50% and the same poorly looked after cars were for sale. It’s a 300pkus hp Boxster with turbo whoosh noises. If anything I’d want some lag and a bit of drama. I wouldn’t be for it if he wasn’t the person ...

100% if the Mini was edging over then it’s crap luck from the Mini and the Cyclist not being observant. As the Mini ended up 15 feet from where the accident happened then he was going too quickly imo. If he stopped within a couple of feet then he was being sensible with the move. You can’t always fu...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I love the whole "lycra" thing which often comes up against cyclists. It's a weird one because nobody else doing some sort of activity gets slagged off for wearing appropriate clothing. Its not like you go and play fives with the people from work whilst wearing your suit and brogues. It’s...

I don’t think I could do that gen of RR until it’s a bit less desirable to the sticky fingered. I’ve said before but my ideal RR would be a late V8 L322 visually backdated to take all the tacky shiny bits off. The Leg uses his old money RR to go to the stately manor of correctness while wearing a p...

I wonder how many people have been killed by Strava ? A load of us used to cycle to work, only 6 miles easy way but you still had to be at work on time. Nobody was chasing times or heart rates though. At what point does your days performance come ahead of basic roadcraft ? Driver definitely at fault...
