Re: Your fleet running reports

What’s stopping you using it for the weekly shop or run out every couple of weeks during winter ? I found not being in the shade during winter makes a big difference, when the Defender was down the side drive, which gets virtually no sunlight in winter and not much wind, it feels horrid and brake di...

Re: Your fleet running reports

A lot of people mention rattles and vibration with that linkage, I’ll see what I can still get from Renault themselves as I don’t think the wife would like that racing one.

Must keep reminding myself I got the car as her car 😂

Re: Your fleet running reports

Ok I’ve beaten on the Clio a bit now and am really enjoying it. I lowered the drivers seat as it was bloody silly as standard. The wheel is meant away at the top but I sit quite upright anyway so isn’t proving a problem just different. I’ve fitted…. New rear calipers New rear discs New handbrake cab...

Re: Your fleet running reports

There's an MGB GT for sale for 3k that I'm finding quite hard not to buy. Would be a nice car to use on a weekend to go see my parents at the coast in, but I think I might find it very, very slow. Tax and MOT exempt as well :? You really won’t find it slow as you will be doing many more things, ste...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The French car is doing French car stuff. New pre-cat sensor fitted as it was misfiring, new injectors fitted the other day for the same reason, chasing a misfire. Now it’s plugs and leads. The pre-cat lambda plug is fitted on a subframe in a slot, that the ARB and heat shielding mean the engine com...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Yes batteries do get old, I’m not convinced a ctek makes them last any longer than in a regularly used vehicle, it just stops them dieing early in cars which aren’t used often. As above, in truth I’ve be recovered more batteries with a dumb charger that can just put 10ams in than I have with trying...

Re: Suits

A nice 3 piece woolen suit shows you’re putting the effort in.

A couple of suits and various ties and waistcoats keep things nice. You’ve got to keep the partner impressed.

Re: 930 Tag Turbo non fence-sitting Poll

As there can’t be many ways to daily drive an actual F1 engine, I say the Tag out of those 2.

For any other 911 then the Tuthill is my current favourite.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

We don’t know the road so it may have been more than a minutes wait, if you catch a lorry halfway down Stamford Road you are basically doing the rounds with the bin lorry 😂 The driver should have made eye contact with the binman and the binman should look when he just walks. Probably just in a routi...

Re: Bye bye Starmer

Water companies are the one thing I cannot understand being privatised. There’s zero competition, any other business sector would be getting hammered by competition watchdogs- BT was forced to separate openreach to an individual company to make broadband more open to competition It’s weird isn’t it...

Re: Bye bye Starmer

Why would it have been stopped internally? They were all getting rich. You expect a level of self control from capitalists that they’ve never exhibited at any point. Giving them more money now is giving an alcoholic vodka. Business isn’t rich people laughing at the poor and smoking cigars. It’s up ...

Re: Bye bye Starmer

Not at all, I think it should have been stopped internally well before such a big mess happened. I also think not bailing them out would be a mess as it’s a water board, it only takes 3 pumps failing due to bad maintenance to stop water for the whole of South Staffordshire. It’s possibly why these c...

Re: Bye bye Starmer

It amazes me how many people see any drop in investment as terrible, they jump ship before the next dividend date for another company. Shares go up 10%….. Well this is fair, normal, as expected. Shares drop 0.2% This is bullshit, they can’t be trusted, I’m out. Some see it as a chance to buy in low ...
