Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report

Boba is nearly 7 months old and over 22kg! If I didn't see his pedigree paperwork I would have thought he was part mastiff.
Absolutely lovable fella.

Re: Looking at buying a MX5

Even Mazda never intended the MX5 to be a the last word in hardcore drivers' cars, just a reliable MGB/Frogeye Sprite. I don't believe that is entirely correct, Mazda could have built the car way cheaper if that was the case. The concept was always a light, simple, reliable pastiche of the "cl...

Re: Decent Recent TV

(re. Billions ) Now imagine that, and add John Malkovich being awesome - Season 3 FTW You forgot to mention a cameo by Maria Sharapova complete with signature sex noises. However, by S3 it is so apparent that every major character is completely morally bankrupt and irredeemable, it is impossible to...

Re: Looking at buying a MX5

Guess I need to give a mk1 mx5 a try then and see what the fuss is about. Until then, Chris Harris' summation of "good, not remarkable" is going to leave a pretty big question in my mind as to how much people rate them very highly firmly in the context of them being cheap and basic good f...

Re: Sense recalibration

Yup, a 650 is one of the very few cars that has amazed me with its performance straight out of the box.
<Cliche time> Strangely soulless though, and I'd much rather have a 458 and a 488 even more so.

Re: Bedford Autodrome - Monday 4th June

Exciting colour choices I should've gone and then we could have had an intermediate shade of grey to complete the set. Oh and I like the irony of that comment made by someone with a white fiat with black bonnet  FIAT!? Also, I think you’ll find, it’s (a range of different) white(s, depending o...

Yeah, what a disaster for me. Shonky POS Caterham. I don't know where I'm going to start with it TBH, right now I don't even want to think about the thing. Anyway, good to see you guys again, and thanks for the p-rides. Superbly driven all. 8-) I thought the day was good, it all seemed pretty relax...

Re: Peter Stringfellow

I’m drinking my “thank you” from the company as we speak. I literally saved a flight and 308 passengers last Sunday (by just showing up, but hey, cheers!) Cool story bro, but I literally cannot see the slightest whiff of a connection between that and the thread, even by the standards of this forum!...

Re: Looking at buying a MX5

My missus had a Mk1 MX5 and I have to say I never found it that fun to drive. Mind you I think I ruined it by buying her some 15" TSW Venoms which gave it more grip than grunt... But it rolled like a barge, the steering was nothing special and it lacked an LSD so even if you could provok...

Re: Peter Stringfellow

That is amazing, he must be at least 100 years old! But I meant in the era of #MeToo will it ever be acceptable to be perceived as making a (very good) living out of sexy women again? You couldn't imagine somebody trying to launch the likes of a Playboy club nowadays and I have no idea who the owner...

The most surprising fact - Ferrari still on 16 constructors championships. That’s one way to keep the badge in date! Yep, they jinxed it. Haven't been fortunate to drive any of the special edition Ferraris yet, but I agree with you both on preferring Spiders ordinarily, but not for the specia...

Re: Ring Lap Times

The clip John Barker showed on FB looked utterly ridiculous. Like a Gran Turismo replay played at x2.

That is a shame. MLB and CH produced some of the best TG ever.
Maybe the TG crew giggled too much about that scene in Episodes?

Re: The Movie Thread

Oh - I'm watching it in IMAX 3D in a desperate bid to secure some form of approval from David Yu. Sadly it's not on the day of release so I fear I have already blown any chance I may have had. I don't always choose 3D, and indeed our local multiplex does very few 3D showings now. I do often choose ...
